Wow, talk about killing the messenger! Lies and the spreaders of lies have one major problem; they can't stand the truth as it is and they have to do something deceptive to make it appear that it is not the truth.
Some say that religion is a form of mental illness. Religion is NOT a form of mental illness. Religions are sets of principles, doctrines and dogmas. It is people who take what religions say and become mentally ill over their INTERPRETATION of what they say. It is placing the focus on that which is not at fault in order to protect what is at fault.
For example, if someone would pour battery acid on heroin that would be drug abuse. However, when people take heroin too much or illegally, most refer to it as drug abuse. It is NOT drug abuse! It is PEOPLE abuse! Place the focus on whom or what is causing the action and result and NOT on what is the substance of the abuse.
Look at how you speak about what is going on and come to know that when you change the focus you are giving yourself an excuse to cause more harm than you are to diminish any harm at all! A MIRROR
Donald Trump’s pandering to the lowest common denominator reveals a mindset of fear and a heartset of selfishness. Without a mirror of constituents his lust for power would not be fueled and he would fizzle out.
As long as there are those who want to be like him (being financially rich, i.e.) at all costs, he will see himself in what is reflected back to him. No wonder he has gotten worse. He is thriving off of their fear, hatred and xenophobia.

A FAULTY ARGUMENT
To all of those out there that defend the unregulated and easy access to weapons of individual destruction as being mere tools, let's examine your faulty argument. If you pour battery acid on heroin it is 'drug abuse'. However, the term that our society uses when people use drugs is 'drug abuse'. It is NOT drug abuse! It is people abuse! Now, your 'tool' as you claim is not at fault. However, if the tool was not readily available to an emotionally or mentally unstable individual would they be able to use that tool for individual death and destruction of innocents? Can't you see that your argument is based on horse logic and NOT genuine logic?
You are not arguing the facts but you are arguing the definition of those facts in order to muddy the waters with unjustified ‘possibilities’ instead of cold hard facts. Your smokescreen is easily penetrated by your obvious manifest agenda! Stop spinning the truth to your misguided advantage that is based on fear and hatred of what does NOT align with your rigid erroneous beliefs and grow the fuck up into being in line with those who seek peace over death and destruction. Your harboring and living from fear is your choice and should NOT be inflicted on the rest of us who choose to live in peace and love.
Buy your guns; lock them in your gun safe; and don’t forget to clean them periodically so that you don’t accidentally injure or kill yourself or a family member. Even though a sign may say “No swimming” and you choose to ignore it, doesn’t mean that there isn’t an alligator lurking in the muddy waters that you have stirred up with your ignorance and lack of logic. May the Divine open your eyes to your folly and you learn to choose peace over chaos. Peace never lurks in the din of fear and loathing. It is within you right now. MISSING THE POINT
When someone accuses you of being selfish when you know you are expressing your Divine purpose in Divine order from your spirit within, that's where they miss the entire point. It is NOT your ego that expects things from others; it is your spirit within that knows enough to expect the best!
Allow your inner spirit to fills you with Divine love and expect to serve Divine will by sharing Divine love with all. If you don't expect what you desire, you are not living in Divine love!
Divine love is not Divine love unless it is shared. Divine order is not Divine order unless we allow it unfold perfectly. Be perfect in sharing Divine love by allowing your inner well-being to flow naturally from your heart into your world.

BEATING A DEAD HORSE
Are you beating a dead horse? Are you insisting that what you believe is right despite all of the evidence to the contrary? Do you dig in your heels in a tenacious stance removing all flexibility to understand that you might be wrong?
If you are, your selfish ego is in command and has gained such a foothold on you that you cannot, and will not, see what is right in front of you. For example, let’s take the beating of a dead horse like the Republicans keep doing about Benghazi. The situation has been investigated and no wrong doing has been determined. Yet, the Reps keep screaming "Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi!", as if that will change anything. Who do they think they are? Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse?
Just because you keep repeating something does not make it true; however, it will keep presenting itself as true and you will accept it as such (beliefs) until you let go of your ego’s control and allow the spirit within to guide you to the truth. Try a new mantra: “I will listen to the spirit within, the spirit within, the spirit within” and watch your life unfold beautifully right in front of you; behind you; and all around you!
Stop insisting on believing what you ‘want’ to believe and start knowing what you ‘need’ to know. This, in itself, demonstrates that you have chosen to listen to the still small voice of the Divine within more than the chaotic loud voice of the ego vying for the attention, control, domination and manipulation of everything. You will be known by the fruits that you bear. Are you bearing the fruit of Divine guidance or the fruits of selfishness and self-centeredness? Choose “we, we, we” over “me, me, me” and be prepared for the abundant blessings to flow into your life. Be perfect in the now and the now will be perfect in you! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
AN OXYMORON
I started remembering this morning what a dearly departed friend, teacher and spiritual awakener once said; “The term spiritual growth is an oxymoron.” Dr. Jeff Belyea (a.k.a. Papa Jeff) was a brilliant, funny and kind person. His insight in this statement is most profound. An oxymoron is a figurative expression that produces an incongruous and seemingly self-contradictory effect by its combination of words and their meanings; e.g. ‘cruel kindness’.
In my book, “Spiritual Growth: Articles of Expectation”, I attempted to outline the pitfalls, challenges and impediments to listening to the spirit within in order for the reader to learn many different ways of dealing with what appears as real, yet is in essence, not. The fact is that it is NOT our spirit that grows. It is our awareness and understanding of it that does. Our spirit is non-corporeal and timeless. It has always existed and always will. However, our awareness and understanding of it is temporal. It comes and goes in direct proportion to ‘how’ we deal with the command structure of our existence.
Is our spirit in command or are our egos? When we think, feel, believe, speak, act and behave in a manner that is beneficial for all, we are acting from the spirit within. If we interact with our world only to benefit us, we are acting from our egos in order to ‘feel’ fulfilled. This shallow behavior leads to an awakening that we either accept or deny. It will keep presenting itself in critical situations until we listen to what it is teaching us. In this way, we become aware of our inner spirit enough to challenge us to understand what it is saying and why it is saying it. In order to understand something we must first be aware of its apparent existence. If we don’t know it exists, we can understand the results of what it represents but not necessarily ‘why’ it has occurred.
Using your understanding of the results you can cut through the thick brush with a machete of awareness knowing that by removing the brush, we can see where we are going. In this sense, we are growing in our awareness and understanding more and more as we move forward. It is not our spirit that is growing; it is our awareness and understanding of our spirit that is growing. Once again, thanks to Papa Jeff for shining a light on what appears to be true in order to see exactly what is true.
As he now lives completely in spirit, the lives he has touched with his insights and wisdom carry on and we come to know more and more each and every day just how much we are learning that we are spiritual beings having a human experience; and that our awareness and understanding of it is what is growing and expanding in order for us to learn more and more how to live from the spirit within by living in the now. THE JOURNEY WITHIN
Setting sail on the journey within means that you will be facing more and more challenges to your accepted mediocrity. Things will occur that make you anxious, unsettled and rattled. Things that normally unfold a certain way start unfolding differently. They go to places you haven’t seen before. Why is this occurring? Because the spirit is teaching you that your limited beliefs can no longer sustain on this journey. In order to get to your inner center of well-being you must discard what has worked in the past for your ego.
This is because you are moving away from what makes your ego comfortable, safe and secure in order to open your awareness from what is possible into understanding what is probable. Beneficial results flow out of the conviction of knowing that your Divine purpose is unfolding perfectly in Divine order. Without that ‘knowing’, you are merely ‘believing’ and your life will yield mediocre results. Stow the oars of the ego’s sense of earning your way; raise the sails of awareness to catch the wind of knowing; let go of the rudder and allow the spirit within to guide you safely to your port of call.
It is only when you let go of the beliefs that you must control, dominate and manipulate that which you cannot, will you be able to know which way to go to arrive within at the Spirit of God. The spirit is always there and it is up to you to make the perceived journey. Standing your ground and defending that which doesn’t work only keeps you away from the blessings of spirit. Let go and love life. It has always loved you despite your lack of awareness to see it. See it now by trusting in the Divine spirit within completely. Set sail! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

LET IT GO
When things don’t work out the way you need, want, desire or expect them to happen, fret not. If the results of your honest efforts were not appreciated or respected, let it go. Do what you have to do to remain on a level playing field and look forward to better opportunities that will fulfill you. There are many people in this world that are selfish, self-centered and self-aggrandizing. Don’t allow their ignorance of life to affect the way you live your life.
If you are not treated fairly by anyone, don’t expect them to rectify the situation. Get away from them and allow good to flow to you from others sources. They will have to deal with what they did to you and you will have to deal with how you reacted to them or proacted from them. Stop wasting your time with those who believe more than know. They will learn their lessons and you will learn yours. Always know that this omniverse is a sea of energies seen and unseen that ripple away from you and get reflected back to you.
Make sure that those energies are good, beneficial and fulfilling to yourself and others. If they are not, you will be stifling your progress and not fulfilling your Divine purpose in Divine order perfectly. Be perfect in what you broadcast into your world and your reflections will manifest growth, expansion and edification of your being. Trust in the process and the process will trust in you! ~Dean A. As you go to bed tonight and kiss your kids or grandkids, think about the families from Orlando, Newtown, Raleigh and too many other cities to even mention, who are going to sleep without their loved ones. Think about their tears, their hurting hearts and their lives being changed all because a nutcase with and assault weapon decided that he was God. Think about it.
How would you feel? How could you look at your kids or grandkids and tell them Mommy, Daddy, their brother, sister or cousin won’t be coming home. See and feel the pain in their lives and hearts and vow to DO SOMETHING!!! Stop listening to these fearful morons with an agenda to sell more guns at the cost of the lives of our families.
Send them packing with their bullshit and think about the children whose lives were cut short and Congress did NOTHING!!! We are better than this and it is up to us to do something about it. We can together. Write your Representatives and tell them enough is enough! Exercise your right as a citizen of this country to put an end to senseless violence. BELIEVING ISN'T THE WAY
Just because you believe something doesn’t make it right. Even if you feel that you are correct down deep inside always remember that beliefs are nothing more than repeated thoughts that you accept as true without testing their veracity, validating their occurrences and researching their factual basis. Only when you let go of what you believe and go within to know through intuition will you be on the right track.
What you feel and believe is there for you even though it might not be true for others. Don’t try to make others believe what you believe because they have NOT walked in your shoes! Afford them the dignity to believe what they believe as long as what they believe does not hurt anyone. Show them how to learn to go within and get their own individual answers, but never tell them what to do.
The only way anyone ever truly learns anything of value is when they learn it through the process of self-discovery. Then, and only then, does it become real to them. To be true to your individual spirituality you must live in truth, speak the truth and be the truth. If someone is not receptive to the truth then plant the seed and move on. Your job is to stay centered in your spirituality and not allow others to distract you from it no matter what they say or do.
Stay focused on the job at hand and be Divine love. After all, that is your true nature and that is why you are here to share it with everyone. Peace to all. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

AN IDIOT
If someone blatantly is doing something that hurts others, they ARE an idiot. That is the only true acid test. If what they are doing helps and encourages others, then they are progressive. Facts are facts and opinions are a selfish skew on the facts.
As Daniel Patrick Moynihan once said, “You are entitled to your opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts.” A fact is an indisputable event, occurrence, situation, circumstance or behavior.

REGULATIONS
If laws to regulate the use of guns in hurting, maiming or killing just one person prevent senseless and useless violence to proliferate among the innocent, then they have served their purpose. Stop insisting and defending the lack of regulation on the weapons of individual destruction! Regulations, when properly followed, mostly keep guns from being kept out of the hands of fools, religious bigots and the mentally ill.
Just because some nutcases slip through the cracks occasionally doesn’t mean that we throw the baby out with the bathwater. Every person that owns a gun should be tested once a year for competency by the local police. Every person that owns a gun should be tested once a year for psychological stability. Every person that owns a gun should be responsible enough to know that the buck stops with them.
Only until we all demand enforcement of gun regulations will we be able to ‘minimize’ what we have experienced with unchecked gun violence these past few years. The only reason to have a gun is to protect you and your family. If you live in a remote area, that is understandable. If you live in highly populated areas, we have Police and National Guard to protect us. The bottom line is that if you own a gun, you are living more in fear than love.
You cannot and will not ever be able to argue with that. If you do, then you are selfish, self-centered and self- absorbed with your ego and NOT the Spirit of God. Go ahead and defend your weapons of individual death and destruction. And as you live by them, you will surely die by them as well. I wish you peace, understanding, joy and Divine love everlasting. Things you will never see when you trust a gun over the Spirit of God! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
GREATER THAN BELIEFS
You are greater that what you and others believe you are. You are better than what you and others think you are. You are blessed more than what you and others feel you are. It is in your knowing that the truth freely resounds and it is in your behavior that your Divine purpose is actualized.
Be the spiritual being of Divine love that you are more than the physical being of your own beliefs that you think that you are. Be the greatness that you were gifted with instead of the mediocrity that you have accepted as being your ‘lot’ in life.
Break out of where you are by allowing that which has created you to flow Divine love naturally from your inner heart into your world. Be the divine greatness you already are! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
SUFFERING
Suffering is living in aberrance and struggling is resisting that which is aberrant. Identifying suffering and struggling is NOT creating or contributing it.
It is seeing it for what it is. Pointing out something does not mean that you are belaboring it! You cannot make positive change until you realize and identify the presence of aberrance and resistance in your being.

Corporate welfare was intended to compensate for this, but has been handled poorly. Right To Work is an important balance to over-reaching union bureaucracy. I agree overseas haven should be dismantled and the levels of money are a corrupting influence.”

The REAL reason that jobs are overseas is because of the greed of manufacturing corporations to overpay they CEO's and underpay their workers! Right to work is a code word for stopping the strength of unions to define what wages should be paid for skilled labor. It should be called Right to Fuck Over the Workers. It is ALL about corporate greed over the individual value of the workers. Only when we see things how they truly are can we deal with the aberrance of those who seek to live for their bottom line more than for the health and well being of the workers in this country. CRIMINALS AND GUNS
Some say that gun laws are not necessary because criminals would still have access to guns.
Perhaps that is true, but what about the emotionally or mentally ill? Would they have killed many if they didn’t have any access to guns?
Gun laws would accurately define the use and ability of anyone who wants to own a gun, use it and maintain it.

The distractions of businesspeople hiding behind a corporate shield to influence the news you hear, the products and services you buy and the bribing of your representatives to do their bidding.
As a result you are allowing unscrupulous and ruthless people to manipulate you!
It is you that is allowing this to happen…
It happens when you don’t impress faith and trust in peace, understanding, joy and Divine love into you world every day.
It happens when you allow your erroneous beliefs to override Divine knowing and convince you to not be what you were created to be.
It happens when you resist that which appears to be against you and spend your entire life co-creating and recreating what you don’t want because you don’t know any better.
What can you do to stop this vicious cycle?
Allow faith and trust in the Divine to rule your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, words, actions and behaviors to the betterment of all.
Allow unscrupulous and ruthless people to not affect your inner peace by moving away from them and moving toward those who share your Divine values.
Allow those who live by the sword to die by the sword by not playing their ego games and making the time each and every day to go within and live in the peace of the Divine everlasting.
How can I help others to learn to not live in fear?
Live from your inner peace; understand your neighbor, experience the joy of individual and collective fulfillment; share Divine love each and every day in your world.
Recognize and identify those who are selfish, self-centered and ruthlessly ignorant of the Spirit of God within and share your awareness with others.
Commit yourself to Divine service in your community by participating in the politics of fair and just action, intelligent and open discourse and the strength and resolve of those who share Divine values.
