Day after day, post after post and saying after saying we see the suggestion that we are not perfect. Is there honor in claiming that we are not perfect? Is it considered that claiming imperfection is being more spiritual? Or is it a subtle and low key suggestion that reinforces our perceived separation from the Divine?
Being perfect means conforming absolutely to the description or definition of an ideal type; excellent or complete beyond practical or theoretical improvement; exactly fitting the need in a certain situation or for a certain purpose; entirely without any flaws, defects, or shortcomings; accurate, exact, or correct in every detail [dictionary.com].
When we allow the flow of Divine love to move through us we are conforming absolutely to the ideal of Divine love; as it flows through us we are the personification of excellence. We are exactly fitting the need for our Divine purpose to be manifested in Divine order. We are in the flow and any shortcomings, flaws or defects are no longer apparent and no longer distract us from our primary focus; sharing Divine love. We become accurate, exact and correct in every detail; we become the expression of Divine perfection.
When we listen to sayings, quotes and aphorisms that suggest or reinforce the fact that we are not perfect beings created perfectly by the Divine, we begin to develop inner beliefs that this is so. When we believe that we are not perfect, we will create ongoing expressions that reinforce those beliefs. Accept your Divine perfection and allow it to flow through you unfettered by the erroneous beliefs that we are not perfect beings created perfectly by the Divine to manifest our Divine purposes in Divine order. The acceptance and allowance of this is NOT ego fooling itself; it is Divine love relaying the truth to your being and bathing you with the essence of the Divine.
When you believe that you are not perfect it is the ego telling you this because it wants you to depend on it for its ‘wisdom’ and guidance. There is no wisdom with the ego; there is only knowledge and belief that is used to ensure your survival in the physical realm of existence. It you truly want to ‘realize’ and operate from the Spirit of God within you it is necessary for you to accept and allow your Divine perfection. If you don’t, you will continue to live from the ego’s guidance and continue in believing its deception that it is correct in believing your imperfection.
The most effective tool the ego has is in the belief that you are ‘separate’ from the Divine. Your acceptance of this is the foothold it gains on maintaining the beliefs that you are imperfect as a being. You are a spiritual being experiencing life in the physical realm in which you express your divinity through your body by your thoughts, beliefs, words, actions and behaviors. If you believe you are imperfect, then you will express that imperfection to match those inner beliefs. It you believe you are divinely perfect, then you will express that perfection to match those inner beliefs.
To enter the Kingdom of God the key is not in righteous and pious behavior, but by faithing in the perfection of Divine love. If you repeatedly separate yourself from Divine love by defending your beliefs that you are imperfect, then you are, in effect, separating yourself from living in the Kingdom of God.
The Kingdom of God is within you right now and it is the impression of peace and the expression of perfection. Be ye therefore PERFECT, as your Father in Heaven is perfect. Listen, believe and express Divine love; that is living in perfection. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

Is prosperity truly your divine right? Why, YES IT IS! Why? Because you were created as a child of the Most High endowed with the abilities to share Divine love and co-create beauty in the omniverse. Anyone who downs living in health, wealth, prosperity and abundance is CLEARLY living from their selfish ego! As a child of the Divine you have been given the gifts of your individual talents, skills and abilities to SHARE with others. If you don’t share them, then you will suffer from infirmities, poverty, lack and limitation.
Why? Because you have elevated your ego over God! You have made the determination and proclamation that what you believe is more important than what you know within. Go ahead; make your ego’s day. Follow what it tells you and constantly struggle in your life with infirmities, poverty, lack and limitation. Why not change the channel and live in health, wealth, prosperity and abundance by choosing to live in peace; choosing to understand yourself and others; choosing to live in perpetual joy; and choosing to share Divine love everlasting? These are the best choices you will EVER make and it is your ego that does NOT want you to make them.
Why? Because it will lose its foothold of fear over you! It realizes that once you discover that you don’t need to listen to its selfish yearnings anymore that you won’t be living in its belief of fear. It will be removed from the driver’s seat and relegated to the passenger seat. That is something it will NEVER stand for because it needs to be in control; it needs to dominate its perceived world; it needs to manipulate you and others to its own end. If you look at choosing between ego and the Divine as an ongoing battle you have already lost the war.
Why? Because the ego has a job to do; protect you at all costs. The Divine has a job to do as well; protect everyone from their egos! Learn to live in the gifts that you have been so freely given. Learn to live in Divine love instead of fear. Learn to share the blessings that you have been endowed with to contribute to the growth and expansion of all of life. It is your duty to yourself to be honest with everyone in your life. Until you choose to follow the guidance of the Divine you will continually be caught up in the struggles of the ego resisting and fighting what it perceives is against it.
It does not want to hear about the fact that the more it pushes against something, the more it is re-creating it. It only wants you to recognize its counsel; its direction; and its dominance. Make the time each and every day to pray for guidance; go within and meditate in order to listen for that guidance; and take the guidance you have received and share it with others in Divine service. NEGATIVE ATTENTION
When you have run out of options, there is always one that you hadn’t considered. What would that be? Your ego will go to the extent of its limitations and come to a resolve that says that there are no more options. At this point, it will emotionally choose to ‘fight or flight’. Protecting you in order to survive is its job. But what else is there? Is there truly something your ego hasn’t considered? And if there is, why didn’t it reveal it to you?
Actually, it’s quite simple. The ego always wants your inner spirit to look to it and depend on it for survival. It is only when you sublimate its influence and choose to thrive in Divine love does it learn to keep its place. We are spiritual beings expressing varying degrees of Divine love through our egos. Our egos are like the handle on a hose that regulates the flow of water. If you squeeze the handle hard enough, the water flows freely. If you squeeze it lightly, the flow of water is constricted.
Allowing Divine love takes effort, contrary to what most are taught by ‘spiritual teachers’. It is not just talking to God or listening to God; it is in serving others that we open the floodgates of Divine love. It is in getting off of your ever-widening ass and going out of your way to help someone who needs it that the fulfillment of your Divine desires begin to unfold. It is stepping out of your comfort zone, your safety net and your lifestyle of mediocrity that you begin to allow the flow of Divine love to bless your life.
When you come to rely too much on your ego it will eventually let you down. It will do whatever it takes to convince you that its assessment of reality is what you need to pay attention to and fight against. It is in this thought process of resisting that you actually create more of the same problems that you have been experiencing. By giving attention to that which you feel is against you and that which you fear can harm you, you are making negative choices that will be co-created. Why? Because life flows where attention goes!
Reach out to those who need help; it doesn’t mean just giving them money; it means giving them some of you. Share your talents, skills and abilities with others; that IS giving Divine love. Have your expressions of Divine love fallen on deaf ears? Have you been criticized by some for the joy you are experiencing within? Do you feel guilty for having these wonderful feelings amid the dissension and strife that some others are experiencing? If you feel remorseful in any way then you are overextending yourself into what someone else is feeling.
Compassion is a good feeling but you must draw the line with where your empathy takes you. You have not been going through and experiencing what they have been through. As a matter of fact, your reactions to such experiences could be completely different than theirs. When you judge others for their reactions you too will be judged for yours. What is truly important is that you accept their reactions without allowing them to influence the way you react to your own set of circumstances.
Be who and what you were created to be by allowing the flow of God’s grace to create joy, peace and understanding in your entire being. Operate from that center of peace and bring that feeling of joy with you into each and every thought, word, action and deed. This is truly living in the Kingdom of God every day. No matter what anyone else experiences maintain your center of peace.
The Divine works through you when you allow your being to experience love and joy from moment to moment. Choose otherwise and you will experience the dissension and strife that you witness in others. It’s a simple choice that appears difficult. Appearances are often deceiving and it is up to you to see beyond appearances.
Most people cannot or will not see beyond what is readily apparent. They either ignore what is underlying or dismiss it as too much work. They would rather take someone else’s word for it than spend their precious time in ferreting out the truth. Their priorities are how they can satisfy their next selfish yearning or whim without regard to manifesting anyone’s Divine desires; even their own. When you pay too much attention to what your ego convinces you is important, you miss out on what you need to do to live a fulfilled life replete with success.

What does it take for you to live in ‘your’ spirituality? Is it an attitude about what happens to you? Or is it choices that you make moment to moment on whether or not life is unfolding the way you believe it should be?
You can only receive what you are ready to receive. If you believe that either you are not worthy to receive or that ‘the way’ you are receiving something is not the way you ‘want’ to receive it, you can block divine blessings from unfolding in your life.
When you defend your aberrances, your infirmities and your beliefs as if your life depended on them you are not living in your spirituality. Being spiritual means that you let go of your aberrant behaviors, your perceived illnesses and your erroneous beliefs in favor of sharing Divine love with all. If you cannot see that, I hope and pray that you will one day.
Why? Because you are worth it and so is everyone else who is aware that they are an abode for the Spirit of God within. Within your earthly temple is Divine love; which is the presence, knowledge, power and creativity of the Divine Infinite Spirit Creator of the entire omniverse.
Share Divine love with all by loving yourself first. Love yourself enough to know that the Divine has created you with a Divine purpose to be unfolded in Divine order. Share that purpose in service to humankind and all of nature. Give what you desire the most and it will circulate and return tenfold. You will be infinitely blessed when you freely give Divine love.
Don’t believe me? Well don’t. I don’t want you to believe me. I want you to know this without a doubt deep within your heart. Knowing is NOT believing! Knowing is trusting in the Divine completely to fulfill your destiny perfectly. Stop getting in your own way by believing what is erroneous and doesn’t serve your sharing of Divine love.
How do you start? Learn to be pleased where you are right now! Choose to feel good no matter what is happening to you. This choice activates Divine trust and allows the blessings of health, wealth, prosperity and abundance to come alive in you! It bathes you with inner peace; divine understanding; perpetual joy; and mostly, Divine love!
Get rid of what you don’t need and keep what you do. It is your life and you can make it fulfilling or insufficient. It is up to you and you alone. Trust in the Divine and live the desires of your heart. God bless you now and always! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
LOOKING UP
Each and every morning she used to get up to the call of the elder statesman cat Ziggy gently combing her hair. Ziggy passed on a couple of months ago and she still mourns him. Every day she gets up and gropes for her glasses and heads for the kitchen. Before she has one sip of morning coffee she feeds our furry friends. They dance separately in excitement as she tries to wake up enough to feed them. She dons her robe to go outside and feed the ferals who have no one to love them and no food to eat. They live in the back shed in order to stay warm and guarded from the weather. Every morning they are there waiting for her. If she doesn’t come right away they start their chorus of beckoning sounds in reaction to their hunger.
Whether hot or cold, dry or raining, windy or snowing, their needs are for their basic survival. I have seen her go without so that they could not. I have seen her talk to them, pet them and love them. I have seen her immediately put down what she was doing, no matter how important, to meet their needs. Her dedication to support their life with food and love is exemplary. Without her, they would never survive. Without her, they would not live as long as they have. Without the love in her heart for their very lives they would not survive.
I saw her take an 8 oz kitten, who was heading for being a possum snack, and bring him back to health. He cried in excruciating pain every time he visited the litter box. She cleaned his rear and applied Vaseline until he was healed. He is now over ten pounds and is the alpha male in our home. I’ve seen her be responsible to life and accountable for maintaining it.
Who is she? She is my talented and beautiful wife Elizabeth; the woman who I fell in love with one morning when she was admiring her Morning Glories. She is the woman who has stuck by me when others attacked, tried to take advantage and accused me of things I would never do. I am one blessed man to have her in my life. When I begin to feel that I am overwhelmed and persecuted, I think of how much she believes in me and supports my dreams. I virtually place myself in the shed as a feral cat and look up to her in thanks for being there every day to make sure that I survive.

MULTI-LEVEL ADDICTIONS
The conclusions drawn from some of the latest nutritional science research shows that 45 calories of the 50 calories your body burns just breathing and sitting is consumed by your brain. The brain demands glucose as the fuel it burns for normal ‘awake’ non-ambulation. If the brain doesn’t get this fuel it begins to break down muscle tissue and convert it into glucose so that it can ‘maintain’ its awakened state.
Most hunger that we experience is ‘false’ hunger that is created by food addictions. Addictions to foods we ‘believe’ we need even though we don’t need them. The problem is in the ‘belief’ that we need these foods and not the fact that we actually need nutrition. When we remove the addiction to foods that harm us we begin to experience ‘true’ hunger. True hunger is when we ‘listen’ to what our bodies need for nutrition.
But how can we listen when we keep ingesting nutritional chaos? And what about the parallel of our spiritual hunger? Are we satisfying our need to know the Divine for the right reasons? Are we longing for a connection to something we believe in or in something that we know? Our spiritual awareness always comes at a price; just like our nutritional awareness is revealed by our current state of physical health and well-being.
Our current state of spirituality is revealed by how we handle and deal with ‘stresses in our lives. Do we go within to release the normal stressed imposed from daily living? Or do we expel and react to the stress by polluting our environments with negativity and frustration? Being spiritually centered means that we keep our peace amid chaos. It means that no matter what happens we don’t allow (not resist) what is happening to affect our peace, understanding, joy and experiencing Divine love.
In regard to resistance, Yeshua clearly said not to resist: “But I am saying to you, you shall not rise up against an evil person, but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him also the other” ~Yeshua (Matthew 5:39 - Aramaic Bible in Plain English). But what about James 4:7 where it says to ‘resist the devil’? (“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (King James Bible)). In the actual translation it does NOT say to resist. It says to ‘bravely stand against’ any perception of evil (Satan). The actual translation:”Submit therefore to God and stand against Satan, and he will flee from you” (Aramaic Bible in Plain English). What does that mean? By allowing God to guide your life you learn to ‘bravely stand against’ evil. If you notice, you don’t have to remove evil at all. It will FLEE from you.
Why? Because when you are in alignment with your Divine purpose in Divine order and sharing Divine love according to Divine will there is NO room for evil to flourish. As you balance your physical body with nutritional foods your senses become heightened. Why? Because you are tuning into the mechanisms of physical health and well-being. The same occurs with your spiritual awareness when you ‘dip in the well’ of Divine consciousness everyday in deep meditation. Your inner sense of well-being is heightened when you make a daily habit of experiencing peace amid chaos. It is in your ‘choice’ to experience that which ‘edifies’ you that focuses your attention on what is good for you.
A successful concert pianist, violinist or conductor does not arrive at the compositional awareness that influences many people with beautiful music unless they consistently practice their instruments and compose EVERYDAY!!! It is the same with daily meditation. You must practice it every day to completely reap the benefits of experiencing peace amid chaos. Your spiritual awareness and health is paralleled by how you experience physical health and well-being. As above, so below.
Are you making the choices for your physical health based on food addictions that are actually ‘resisting’ your physical health? Are you making choices for your spiritual health based on ‘belief’ addictions that are actually ‘resisting’ your spiritual health? Discharge your erroneous beliefs and addictions that do not serve you. Embrace Divine love each and every day to maintain peace amid chaos. It is your choice and only YOU can make it! ~Dean A. One day this past year I had a whopper of a day. I had to fire two clients. One of them kept sending text after text telling me I had an ego problem. At every turn he was questioning what I was doing. Telling me how to do it; always trying to get one over on me.
It reminded me of the old Blondie cartoon where Dagwood is arguing over the bill with the contractor. He said, “The bill is $3000; you said it was only going to be $2000! The contractor responded, “That’s before I knew you were going to help.”
I sent him a message telling him I know longer wanted to do business with someone who always tries to nickel and dime me to death over EVERYTHING. This 40 year old man texted me saying, "I’m gonna teach you about business." I laughed and texted back, "I was in business before you were a twinkle in your father's eye."
It's amazing just how big his ego is; probably because he is 5'2" and has a little big man complex. He works out every day and buffs himself up to compensate for his lack of physical stature. What a waste. With his knowledge he could be helping people and the only thing he does is over-validate his ego. When people don’t value your expertise because their egos think that they know everything, it is time to vacate.
The second client begged me to fix his sister’s computer and never showed up when he said he would. Earlier, I told him not to mess around and be there on time to pick it up. I spent my day fixing his sister’s computer and he didn’t have the decency to call at the time he was supposed to. He texted me that his wife spent the money at the store and that he couldn’t pay me. I called another client and sold the computer to them to cover the costs.
I don’t want to be so hard lined to anyone; however, when people don’t respect you enough to at least call and make other arrangements or try to whittle you down at every turn, no one needs those kinds of egomaniacs in their lives. Be nice, be kind and be firm. Homey don’t play. I am tired of these types of people and will no longer be in their service.
My peace is more important than their egotistical yearnings. I wish them both the best and I feel more at peace now than I ever did working with them. God bless those who respect others; they understand that the Spirit of God within and share that over all else. Peace. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
NOTHING OR EVERYTHING?
The omniverse is the expression of Divine love and there is no ‘vacuum’ in space-time; only a lack of perception of what lies underneath from ‘nothingness’ to ‘everythingness’. Is this really true? Is nothingness something that we simply cannot sense? Or is everythingness something that we can only sense? Are these questions based on accurate or erroneous beliefs?
Question ALL beliefs for they are based on observations that are sensed and on perceptions that are electro-chemically copied in our brains. I have been repeatedly accused of diatribing my beliefs more than the facts of reality. My 'beliefs' as I have been accused of espousing to others are based on the current observable knowledge of quantum mechanics and string theory.
What occurs at the deepest of levels expands into the 'reality on earth' as some say; the omniverse is composed of 72% dark energy, 23% dark matter and 5% matter and energy. There is NO vacuum in space. There is energy and matter we either sense or don't sense. What some term as a ‘vacuum’ are things that we don't sense because the ranges of our senses are limited and DON'T see the entire picture.
Through the power of imagination we can ‘see’ the other elements of existence that we don’t sense. When our five physical senses are coupled with our psychic and divine ‘senses’ we can theorize and internally experience the entirety of existence within; our terms of explanation might be radically different, but the observable evidence is based upon the ‘point’ from which we observe.
Dependent upon our point of observation light appears as particles (photons) or waves; in much the same way our experience of ‘reality’ appears one way to some and totally different to others. Both ‘positions’ are correct and it is not in the arguing and posturing of our ‘beliefs’ but in the understanding of our purposes that reveal the truth about the entire picture.
Our subjective or relative truths come from our observations based on our five physical senses filtered through our individual belief systems to create our perceptions of reality. Our perceptions, in reality, are ‘copies’ of reality in our brains and NOT reality itself. Our objective absolute truths come from our psychic and divine senses coupled with our physical senses when we utilize our imagination.
Imagination is the key to see the greater picture beyond what we sense and believe is happening. Without imagination, what we see is always what we get! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
OUR CONNECTION TO
EACH OTHER
What you think of me is your business because it is how you are reacting to my expression of how things are. If your reaction is valid to you and not me, then it becomes my business to deal with your reaction. If your proaction is valid to you and me, then it becomes my business to incorporate it into my thoughts, words, actions and behaviors.

When we understand each other we feel the ‘connection’ between each other. We come to know that connection is real and that what we communicate with each other is meant to edify just whom and what we are. It is true that what you think of me is none of my business because it is not what I am, just as what I think about you is not what you are. We are greater than what we think, feel and believe we are. We are what we know we are within and that is Divine love in action.
One day you will know all you need to know. Was that day yesterday; is it today; or will it be tomorrow? That day will be the day when you get out of your own way and realize that all you need to know is there for you right now deep within your being. You cannot hear the still small voice of wisdom beckoning to you when you are caught up in the chaos of the outer world. You need to make the time for a one on one each and every day to hear the guidance that the still small voice relays.
When everything else is more important than this time it will be reflected in the experiences in your life. You will live stressed, outside of yourself and confused. You always have that connection. You must learn to rely on that connection in order to proceed wisely down your pathway in life.
Don’t be fooled by the beckoning of your ego disguising itself as the truth. It can be cunning, brazen and relentless. Know the inner sound of it by nurturing the voice of Divine stillness; which is the inner silence of knowing. Be ye therefore perfect!!! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
OUT FOR THEMSELVES
The Divine essence is within you whispering to your heart with a silent voice; a voice that only can be heard deep within your heart when you still your being. This inner state of Divine peace is where you come to understand and know your faith and trust in the Divine. This silence and stillness is not heard by your heart in the outer world of chaos, separation and division.
It is only ‘felt’ within your heart when you go within and know the Divine. Listen to the whispers; be still; know God. All of your answers, solutions and resolutions to your perceived problems are within. You just need to be still and listen to your heart. Never allow the beliefs and behaviors of others to disturb or disrupt your experience of inner peace.
When certain individuals displaying such obvious behaviors of selfishness, childishness and acrimony affect all of our lives, we need to put a stop to it. Those of us who know the Divine and know that we are in this together, need to take action. Know this about ignorant and selfish individuals; they are only out for themselves!
Ask yourself this question: How can individuals that are so blatantly out for themselves even consider that we're in this together? Money and power is their God while they profess that the Divine is their God. They say what is convenient to those who don’t know any better in order to pad their wallets and support their extravagant lifestyles. Be not fooled by their confessions of loving God, for it is NOT the God we know. It is their collective construct of a warrior God that they have anthropomorphized into being like us.
If God is love, peace, joy and understanding and we are created in His image, then anyone who behaves otherwise is not living from the unity of the Divine with ALL of life. The world resists, fights and argues of whom and what God is when it is deep within them.
As long as they think only of themselves they will never see God in all of life. Until they go within and be still, they are operating from their egos and NOT God. See things as they are and not how you believe them to be. Know God. Know truth. Know just who is out for themselves and that God is out for ALL of us. Peace. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
OUT OF CONTROL
Are you so sure of yourself that you neglect to check your facts before you open your mouth? Are you so convinced that what you believe is the truth that you fudge the facts just to prove your point? Are you so committed to others believing you that you would outright lie to substantiate your claims? If so, you need to realize that your ego is out of control. It is so committed to enforcing your beliefs on others that it will do anything to be recognized for its ingenuity, cunning and grasp of the ‘facts’.
You see, your ego survives on the pats on the back it gets from you and others for ensuring your self-survival. It doesn’t care who it hurts in the process as long as it wins. It isn’t concerned with a shared or absolute truth; it only cares about a truth where it is recognized for being the one where truth originates. It isn’t your friend when it comes to the truth and others; it is the one that convinces you that you are right no matter what you have done.
It is tricky and will control, dominate and manipulate the ‘facts’ in order to carve an opinion based on what it wants you to believe. It is your friend when it comes to physically and emotionally protecting you from what it perceives as harmful to you. It knows its job quite well and it will go out of its way to ensure that you are perceived as being correct, truthful and supportive of others; when in fact, it will sell others down the river to protect you from physical, emotional, mental or spiritual harm. It loves to steer the wheel and have you recognize it as the driver of your life.
What do you do to not be tricked by your ego? You evaluate its choices based on a barometer of Divine love. If what it chooses to do hurts, harms or maligns others, then it is only thinking of itself and its selfish agenda. The Spirit of God will always guide you think of yourself AND others; not just yourself!
It is up to you to regularly commune with the Divine to receive the proper guidance in moving forward for the benefit of yourself AND others. The result of this communion allows you to ‘check’ the demands of your ego and allow the Spirit of God to move Divine love through you and actualize your Divine purpose in Divine order. PAYING ATTENTION
What does it mean to pay attention? In definition, this idiom means “taking heed; giving close and thoughtful attention to something {that you value in regard to safety, security, advancement}; paying particular notice” [dictionary.com]. Where does your predominant attention lie? In whatever crosses your mind or whatever tugs at your heart? Or, do you make the time to ‘know’ where it needs to lie as opposed to where you believe it must lie?
Attention is inextricably tied with choices when you are aware enough to understand this; most people aren’t because they have never been trained in how the mind and heart works; just in how you must listen to what they say because they are always right. WTH? How many times have your mind and heart been dead wrong? You might not admit it, but I’m sure it’s more than the amount of digits and limbs you have! The mind and heart are born of spirit and are ‘extensions’ of that spirit! The mind is your consciousness of logic and reason and the heart is your consciousness of feeling and motivation. When both are working in tandem they become the individual ‘seat’ of Divine love. It is when there is a ‘disconnect’ or ‘dysfunction’ between your mind and heart that problems in your life arise.
When you operate too much from your mind you minimize or even lose the inner feelings of ‘emotional’ guidance. When you operate too much from your heart you minimize or even lose the inner thoughts of ‘mental’ guidance. It is in the balance between what you think and feel that we attain a greater understanding of self in relation to SELF. When the ego allows the Spirit of God to provide and LISTEN to the guidance of Divine order, it begins to realize that it cannot observe all of the factors that are present in life. It ‘seeks’ wisdom by going within in meditation, listening to thoughts that arise from God’s voice of silence and feeling the emotions that arise from being deeply immersed in God’s presence.
Everything that exists comes from the Spirit of God; from the all-knowing, ever-present, all-powerful and all-creative power of the Infinite Spirit Creator. When we pay attention to what that spirit reveals in a peaceful inner state (and NOT a chaotic outer state), we align ourselves with Divine order. When we follow that guidance by completely trusting the Spirit of God to guide us, we are manifesting our Divine purposes in accordance with Divine will.
The Divine has a view from the mountaintop while our view is in the valley. Wouldn’t you rather pay attention to the Divine perspective than rumble around in the valley of perception never knowing that there are other mountains and valleys to observe and traverse? Focus on what the Divine reveals to you within and walk the walk that you have been guided to by paying attention to what understanding peace brings, and not what derision that chaos imbues. “And Yeshua said to them, “Why are you afraid, you small of faith?” Then he arose and rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm.” ~Matthew 8:26 (Aramaic Bible in Plain English).
Why are we afraid? What makes us think of the worst things happening? Why is it that we leap to fear instead of leaping to faith? Is it because we don’t know how to completely trust in God? Or is it that we are so used to depending on ourselves? Fear is a reaction to what we perceive will harm us. Whether the perception of what ‘could’ happen or what ‘will’ happen is accurate or erroneous, we choose to believe what the worst thing is because we want to survive.
Survival is predicated on our ability to effectively react to our perceived ‘bumps in the road’. Reacting is something we do ‘after’ something else occurs and we perceive it to be threatening in some way. On the flip side, proacting it something we do ‘before’ OR ‘after’ something occurs. It is planting the seeds of co-creation in order to reap a harvest of bountiful fulfillment.
Studies have shown that our brains anticipate the unfolding of things in natural order. It is as if we already know the outcome and we watch the unfolding of the outcome like a movie within our minds. When your faith is small, you leap to fear to protect yourself not realizing that in choosing faith and trust in the Divine, you take the burden of survival away from you and put it in the hands of that which knows EVERYTHING!!!
When you know that the Divine is within you it is within your awareness to acknowledge this and sternly disapprove of the storms in your life. Facing the storms and chaos by declaring your Oneness is the solution to removing them and achieving inner peace. As Yeshua confronted the wind and sea he declared with sharp and stern disapproval of their threatening actions and declared. “Peace. Be still.”
We have it within each and every one of us to declare peace and rebuke the chaos. Bring the great calm into your life by knowing the divine power within you right now and trust it completely! Stand up in the face of chaos, lies and evil and with unwavering faith sternly declare, “Peace. Be still.” ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
PERCEIVING COPIES
What you keep telling yourself is what you believe will happen based on your external perceptions of your environment and your internal conclusions of those perceptions. Those perceptions are copies of reality and NOT reality. A copy looks, feels and ‘represents’ your reality but it is NOT your reality. Your reality is what you do AFTER you either react to or proact from your feelings about your perceptions. In other words, what is real to you is secondary.
What is truly real is your understanding that you are NOT your beliefs, reactions or proactions. What you are is greater than any ‘copy’ of what you are. Your spirit is an original, vibrant and life expressing force that cannot and will not EVER die! It is eternal and has chosen to experience ‘mortality’ in order to further its expression of Divine love.
Be the perfect creation you are and NEVER settle for a mere copy of who you are or ‘might’ be. Stand your ground by knowing that what is under your feet is the starting point to realize what’s above your head; infinite possibilities with finite conclusions that only come from living in the ‘real’ world and not the replicated one in your mind.
Just because you experience something doesn’t mean it wouldn’t have occurred without your presence. Your consciousness of its occurrence was meant to effect reactions and proactions from you that resulted in you making effective or ineffective choices on how to proceed.
Choices come from your internal perceptions that have been filtered through your belief system. If you possess any erroneous beliefs that alter reality, then you are NOT operating from the truth; you are operating from what you WANT the truth to be and NOT what it actually is! Effectively choosing the correct course of action requires facts, clarity of purpose and a dogged determination to do what is right for you AND others.
The expression of Divine love is life and movement and the impression of its purpose is timelessness and stillness. Understanding just who and what you are in the grand scheme of things only comes when you ask for it, seek it and knock on the doors where it resides. Pray, meditate and serve humankind with your talents, skills and abilities in order to express your Divine purpose in Divine order. THAT is originality and NEVER a copy! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
PERFECTION PERSONIFIED
What does it mean to be perfect? Is it the same meaning in the biblical sense? Or is it a condition of ‘becoming’ perfect?
Stewart Eden, a Christian writer, describes it as follows: “Webster’s dictionary defines “perfect” in many different ways. As an adjective, it is defined as: a) being entirely without fault, b) accurate, c) expert, proficient, d) pure, total, and e) mature. As a verb the definition is: “to bring to final form.” The definitions of the Hebrew and Greek translations of “perfect” are very similar. In the New Testament, the Greek word predominantly used meant “complete” or “mature.” In the Old Testament the Hebrew word, ‘tam’, was frequently used. Its definition is unique and means “morally pious.” Another frequently used Hebrew word “shalen” meant, “without defect or blemish.”
Based on these definitions we can read and understand the literal truths of the Scriptures. God does not require perfection to enter the kingdom of heaven, but rather “His love will perfect or convert our soul as we live out His law in our hearts, minds and actions ~The Fellowship.”
In the spiritual sense, perfect means to be ‘complete’, mature in the understanding of spirit and aligning with your inner spirit to live from your true ‘form’. How many times have you heard people saying “I’m not perfect” and being proud of it! If you truly seek perfection than STOP saying that you are NOT perfect. What you resist persists! Get it?
Proclaim your divine perfection and bring it into the world each and every day! All of us make mistakes and that is NOT what we should be focusing on; we should be focusing on our divine perfection and NOT our trivial faults! It is all in moving from what you believe about yourself into what you KNOW about yourself!!!
In the old Aramaic being perfect was being morally pious; this doesn’t mean that you put others down but that you accept and live ‘in’ the gifts of the spirit. Those gifts are peace, understanding, joy and Divine love. It is what is freely given to us through Divine grace. Yet many NEVER proclaim those gifts because they look down on themselves because they ‘believe’ that is how they should be humble.
What a crock? Being humble means understanding your place in regard the places of others, showing mutual respect and sharing Divine love. Be ye therefore perfect! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
PRE-EMPTIVE STRIKES
I am going to address a difficult and controversial subject. Angelina Jolie revealed that she had her breasts removed because a test revealed that she had a ‘marker’ for breast cancer. Markers are for cancer period. Just because someone has the marker doesn’t mean that the marker will cause cell mutation. She was hailed for taking a pre-emptive strike against the disease.
Now, let’s examine what was said here. The origin of this statement is a fear based fighting stance; it is not a faith based peaceful stance. It is simply the ego taking command and decided to protect itself ‘before’ something bad ‘could’ happen. It is not trusting in the Spirit of God to ‘act’ on your behalf to squelch any ‘markers’. There is more going on here than meets the eye. This story is just that; a story. It is a story about the ego taking command and deciding to impose a pre-emptive strike against the ‘possibility’ of cancer emerging in her body.
Some women have double mastectomies and NEVER see any cancer again while others develop ovarian, liver or pancreatic cancers. It is NOT a crap shoot as the doctors tell you! They tell you this because they don’t know the power of love and the essence of the Spirit of God. They exist in a world of mindless chemical interactions and statistical probabilities that are based on ‘conjecture’ and NOT reality.
Yes, if you jump off of a mountain with no parachute to break your fall you will most assuredly die. However, if you don’t take the jump to begin with you will most assuredly live! Fear based decisions come from the ego not trusting in Divine intervention and ‘assuming’ that it needs to take command in order to survive. This ‘selfishness’ is based on a limited and skewed outlook on the ‘possibilities’ of healing and the perceived ‘definite’ probabilities of the worst scenario unfolding.
Angelina Jolie could have lived out her entire life without getting cancer just as much as her making a pre-emptive strike against the ‘possibility’ of it developing. When what you fear controls you to the point of making decisions about a body that was designed to ‘fix’ itself from within by the Creator, it reveals that you believe in your separation from your Creator. It reveals that you ‘believe’ what medical ‘science’ has told you ‘might’ happen and not what will ‘definitely’ happen.
Medicine is NOT solely a science; it uses scientific principles in diagnosis and it uses art more in treatment. It works the ‘odds’ of occurrences and probabilities. Odds change in a moment’s notice. For example, in the Preakness on Mary 19, 2013, the odds that Orb would win an hour before the race were 4/5. At race time they were 3/5. Environmental and other ‘conditions’ changed the odds of the horse winning the race. It was Oxbow, the 15-1 horse that actually won the race. Even though the odds changed for the favorite, the horse that would have ‘probably’ NOT won ended up winning.
You have access to the Creator Doctor of the entire omniverse. It is up to you to access this doctor by going within a trusting in your healing. Yes, see the doctor and know the odds of your ‘condition’, but don’t rule out the ‘possibility’ of another horse winning! Be ye therefore perfect! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
