Is it that in the act of creativity that we express Divine love? How can that be? Isn’t Divine love, like Divine grace, freely given? Isn’t it our divine right? Or is it simply and elusive factor we strive for and never attain?
Creativity is defined as “the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination” [dictionary.com]. The growth and expansion of the entire omniverse comes from the complete and pure expression of Divine love and the response of the creation to that expression.
This is the key to unfolding our Divine purposes in Divine order; responding in a new way by utilizing our imaginations to create new ‘expressions’ of reality! In other words, actualizing what we were created to be by ‘co-creating’ what is already in existence to ‘reflect’ our Divine purposes as they unfold in Divine order.
The ability to see beyond ‘what is’ is a necessity in establishing a new paradigm. Also, it is the awareness that ‘any’ new paradigm is a flexible, mutable and dynamic ‘work in progress’ that reflects our awareness of our individual Divine purposes at a certain point in time.
Time is river that transports the essence of our individual creativity and floats our ‘bubble’ in Divine love. Only in acclimating ourselves to the awareness of the never ending rearrangement of the creation can we begin to understand that we are that ‘bubble’ that experiences the perception of our movement through time.
Are our perceptions always correct? Are they the only barometer by which we come to understand our Divine purposes in life? Or are they the small sliver of the greater picture of reality?
Just as a hologram contains the perspective of the entire picture, we contain the entire perspective of reality through our inner spirit. Only when we ‘see’ from that inner spirit can we know the entire picture.
But what exactly are we? Are we our individual perspective or are we the entire picture? In actuality, we are the essence and expression of creativity existing concurrently when we utilize our imagination to create new expressions of Divine love.
Imagination is the tool by which we lift ourselves out of the confines of observation, perception and belief. It is the tool that allows us to contemplate ‘what if’ from our experiences of ‘what was’ and ‘what is’. Be ye therefore perfect in utilizing your imagination! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
Know where your enemies are at all times but don’t resist their evil; allow it to pass through you without attaching any negative emotions to it. Don’t fight and lash out in the presence of evil for it will suck into its vortex and take your very life. Be diligent and trusting of the Divine and know that even good people take advantage of what benefits them; whether it’s lying to protect their freedom or lying to assign the blame to you.
Perhaps if Trayvon Martin had known this he wouldn’t have fought back with his assailant. Perhaps he would be alive today. We will NEVER know because George Zimmerman had a deadly weapon that killed a teenager in cold blood. Remember that. Don’t hate GZ. Send him love for he will have to live with himself for what he did the rest of his life; even though his sociopathic behavior will never allow him to see the error of his ways.
Stand up and hold your ground in the face of adversity and defend those who cannot defend themselves; the sick, the elderly and the dead. We are their voices of justice and it is up to us to create the Kingdom of God here on Earth. Walk peacefully, live in mutual understanding, live joyously and share Divine love. It is our thankfulness in grace and our attitude of understanding the truth above all else that co-creates harmony. Release your own will to fight and live another day to speak the truth. GET OFF OF YOURSELF

OWNING INFIRMITIES
Stop fighting, battling and 'owning' your infirmities! The more you resist them the more they will persist! Love them with an ‘awareness’ as to ‘what’ has been created within you and ‘why’ they exist; then ‘allow’ the Divine to heal you.
The attention to any infirmity with resistance gives it life whereas allowing the healing to take place within you minimizes and removes the presence of its 'own' life continuing.
Actively participate in your healing by not resisting the presence of infirmities but in allowing your healing to take place.
Inner peace and allowance brings Divine healing because you stop trying to control, dominate and manipulate that which you don’t understand.

The ego has a job to do and a job not to do; it is there for self-survival but not to lead based on its yearnings for recognition, power and the implementation of that perceived power.
It is to be balanced with the wisdom of the spirit but never to be in command of that spirit; for in relinquishing the guidance of Divine wisdom to the command of the ego is where fighting, derision and negativity are borne.

TRUST ME?
The most revealing phrase in any language is “Trust me.’ And why is that? Is it because it reveals the desire for someone to honestly guide you or is it that they are ultimately trying to control, dominate and manipulate your behaviors by influencing your decision-making processes? What is it that makes one desire for them to be trusted by others? Is it the Divine guiding you or your ego subtly nudging you into a position of benefitting itself? You decide.
The Spirit of God is the nurturing, life-giving and edifying presence that projects everything that we sense and experience in life. We are the ones who sense and experience the reflections of Divine presence and use it to benefit us in some way. It is we who color existence with our beliefs whether they are accurate or erroneous.
When we allow our ego’s yearnings to guide our decisions we are thinking about what benefits our self-survival at all costs. When we allow the Divine desires in our hearts to guide our decisions we are thinking about what benefits ‘everyone’ and NOT just ourselves. Is it really as simple as that? Again, you decide.
Why? Because I’m not going to say for you to ‘trust me’ and my analysis of this but I will say to trust the Spirit of God. Remember, trust never comes from someone requesting it; it comes from an inner knowing that the Divine is guiding, protecting and loving you as well as everyone else.
What is trust, anyway? It is the reliance on the integrity, strength or ability of someone or something. It is the confidence that your expectation of something favorable to you will come from the source of your trust and be granted to you based on you being you. Trust comes from faith in something that is unseen that benefits what is seen. Complete trust in the Divine means that you don’t second guess, doubt, worry or fear how things will unfold. You simply allow them to unfold in Divine order for the greater good of everyone and NOT just you!
Trust is not earned; it is allowed! The next time someone says, “Trust me”, you will know it is NOT coming from the Spirit of God but from the ego’s yearnings for control, domination and manipulation. The Divine never asks to be trusted; but humankind always does. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
A DIVINE GIFT
When what we sense as love, think is love and feel is love is experienced in our hearts, we come to know it is a Divine gift.
Cherish that gift by sharing it with everyone. When Divine love freely passes through us we are blessed with health, wealth, prosperity and abundance.
When we plug up the dam we have made a conscious decision that ‘me’ is greater than ‘we’.

Eyes wide open and heart wide open usually means that those with a deceptive heart will continually attempt to take advantage of this perceived 'opening' to sell their wares.
It is up to us to allow them to pass through us without attaching any emotion to their motives and actions at all.

MAKING A BIG MISTAKE
When you attribute human-like qualities, frailties and fears to the Divine you are making a big mistake. That which created the omniverse is beyond any and all things you can even comprehend. When you anthropomorphize that which is eternal you are trying to bring God down to your own level to understand just who and what ‘he’ or ‘she’ is. The only tools you have at your disposal are the perceptions you entertain from your sensory input and the conclusions you draw from you limited understanding of reality. This becomes what ‘God’ is to you and you look to your ‘image’ of God in order to feel comfortable with reality.
Remember, God is beyond your image of ‘him’ or ‘her’ and IS an Infinite Spirit Creator that expresses Divine love into the creation of the omniverse. Look at the Divine as the still and silent well-spring of life that has loved the creation so much that we can even imagine Divine love eternal. The Divine is spirit and that same spirit is within each and every one of us right now giving life to us with each and every breath.
We are NEVER separated from the Divine in reality; it is in our perceptions of the Divine that we separate that which can NEVER be separated from us. Stop believing what you perceive as real and listen to the still small and silent voice of the Divine within your heart of hearts. ARE YOU GUILTY OF BLASPHEMY?
“We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”? If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be set aside—what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world?
Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’? Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp. ~John 10:33-38
What is the gist of this story? People are always seeking to know the truth. Why? Is it because they ‘need’ to know the truth? Or is it that they are trying to trip up whoever is dispelling the truth? Yeshua had told them and they did not believe him. Why? Was it because they only thought of him as a man ‘proclaiming’ to be God? Yeshua then said quite clearly, the works that he did in his Father’s name testify about who he was.
The same applies to all of us. The works we do from the Spirit of God are definable. If they contribute to the growth and expansion of life and do NOT hurt anyone, but actually heal them, then they are from the spirit. Those who know this hear the still small voice of the Divine guiding them and directing them to GIVE from the spirit and NOT take away life whatsoever!
Those who listen to the Divine will NEVER be snatched into darkness because they KNOW the truth of the Spirit of God within. And as Yeshua said, “I and my Father are one.” We are ONE with the Spirit of God when we share Divine love and give from the spirit within.
Many will try to break you down for this and literally stone you to death with verbal diarrhea because they think you are trying to be God. We are not trying to be, we have the Spirit of God within us RIGHT NOW!
Yeshua said, “You are gods.” We are all sons and daughters of the Most High that can NEVER be snatched away! Yeshua further said that if he did the works and that they still didn’t believe him, believe the works.
Give of your talents, skills and abilities to others and help them become whom and what they were created to be. Then, and only then, will others know that you are living from the Spirit of God within. The enemies will try to seize you, but you will ALWAYS escape their grasp.
Is following a teenager who was coming home from the store, confronting him, fighting with him and subsequently murdering him good works? Yet many will defend a murderer because there was ‘reasonable doubt’.
Hogwash! If you defend ANY murderer you are NOT operating from the Spirit of God because if you were you would be supporting life and not diminishing it. What? Is that too hard for you to swallow? Then clear your throat and take a good long look at your stinkin’ thinkin’.
It is the same thinking that will continue to separate you from the blessings of the Spirit of God. The works of the spirit give life; they DON’T take it away for ANY reason. Wake up and see the truth. It is right in front of you! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

Marriage is a civil union between any two people who desire to share their lives together. It is NOT confined to religions or egomaniacs with religious agendas.

LOVING WHAT YOU HATE
Loving that which you hate doesn’t mean that you have it over for dinner or a sleepover. It means that you accept it for what it is, allow it to be and no longer allow it to interfere in your life in a derogatory fashion. It means that you don’t give it power over you and let it go to be what it is but NOT in your space.
If you allow what you hate to infuse you with so much emotion and obsession that it takes over your life you are losing your perspective in reality. It’s OK to have a cause and make the necessary moves to make that 'cause' grow and expand, but don’t allow it to consume your life.
Those who do things that irritate you are there for a purpose; for you to deal with them effectively by putting them in their place; which is NOT around you. They have their own realizations to encounter and so do you.
You are the one who decides whether you keep your space peaceful or hectic, understanding or irritated, joyous or saddened or filled with hate or love.
Make the choices that ADD to your life and the lives of others and don’t take away from the Divine love in your heart. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
Using the term ‘marriage’ instead of ‘civil union’ irritate the living f**k out of plastic Christians. The same moronic Christians who preach and teach a false gospel of Jesus Christ that is more the Gospel of Paul than anything else. I just love being the perennial gadfly never giving them a moment of peace as they spread their obvious lies. Mainstream Christianity promotes the elimination of critical thinking from education.
Why? Because if you can't think you won't know what they are doing behind your back rearranging the workings of our government to fulfill their selfish and evil agenda. Don’t allow them to influence our lives with their obvious politicization of our system to meet their own ends. Freedom of Religion also means Freedom from Religion.
If you believe in Christ then come to know the true Christ. The one that healed the sick, helped the underdog and lived among the people; not like the priests and Pharisees that hid in the temple and only came out to trip up Jesus. Did Jesus carry weapons?
He lived in the most dangerous times where human life was not respected and had little value. Yet, when Peter cut off the Roman soldier’s ear, Jesus healed him. Don’t let these gun toting vigilante morons with their sick egotistical agendas convince you that they are so righteous.

When someone defends those who live in fear, by fear and to perpetuate fear; that, in itself, speaks volumes of the fact that they believe that living in fear is a ‘normal’ state of existence! Our ‘normal’ state of existence is Divine well-being bathing us with faith and trust in the Divine.
We all have rights granted to us by the Constitution, but it is the rights of our individual existence in which we choose to live in fear or in Divine faith.
Do you choose to own a weapon that you can use to have power over the life and death of another human being? Do you live in such fear that you must possess such a weapon to feel secure? Do you believe that your ego is more aware of your environment than your connection with the Spirit of God?
If you do, you are fooling yourself and posing a threat to others. Trust in the Divine means just that; trust! Not handing over your existence to the fears and misguidance of your ego. When you trust too much in your own self-survival you reveal just how much you trust God.
You will experience one challenge after another for your ego to assert itself or allow the Divine to unfold your experiences. Turn over the wheel of direction to the Divine understanding available to you in your heart. Be ye therefore perfect! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
THE AGENDA OF THE NRA
The NRA is an organization that has an agenda and uses financial profit to perpetuate its existence. They are subsidized by the weapons manufacturers that in turn 'support' their worthless and ultimately murderous existence. Yes, profits made by the weapons manufacturers that are used as tax write-offs so that they can continue manifesting their warped and twisted agendas THROUGH the existence of the NRA.
The NRA, in turn, cuts checks to our representatives or provides ‘perks’ and ratings to substantiate their ‘alignment’ with the so-called Second Amendment rights. Don’t you think it’s about time for us to grow up and realize that we don’t live in 1789 anymore? Realize that we don’t live in the Old West and that ‘Stand Your Ground’ is a simpleton Cowboy mentality?
If we truly love God shouldn’t we be seeking what all spiritual leaders have shown us? Respect life and life will respect you. Diminish life and life will diminish you. It is your choice to either live in fear of what ‘might’ happen or live in the faith of Divine providence. Why aren’t we choosing the latter? ASLEEP IN A DREAM
As long as you follow your beliefs, live in them and live by them, you are asleep in a dream.
When you wake up and follow what you ‘know’ from the Divine, live in that ‘knowing’ and live by that ‘knowing’, you will be living in the natural state of well-being that you were created in instead of the false illusive reality that your ego has built and convinced you is real.
Live from the actuality of spirit and it will create the reality that you are Divine love, living in Divine love and living by Divine love. Isn’t living in the truth more valuable and fulfilling than living in a lie? ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
DOES LOVE KILL??
When you deny the facts and don't see the undercurrent of reality your beliefs convince you that you are right to keep you in your comfort zone. Why? Because if you are not open to the truth it is your ego blocking it from being understood!
The ego needs to be in command in order to validate its existence. If you were truly living from the Spirit of God you would trust the Divine completely, hear the truth and live in the truth. Look deeper, feel deeper and know the truth that if anything you observe is not contributing to the growth and expansion of all of life and unfolds your personal fulfillment, it is NOT from the Spirit of God but from your ego, its beliefs and its fears.
Love contributes to the growth and expansion of life and seeks not to diminish it. Fear creates separation from the truth in order to keep your ego in command. Don’t be fooled by the subtleties of the ego generating fear and convincing you that you need to carry a weapon to protect yourself. When you elevate yourself to the position of being able to end someone’s life it is your ego that is doing this; NOT the Spirit of God.
God is love and love is nurturing, supportive and kind. Ego is selfish, fearful and mean when you allow it to over validate itself. We are the pinnacle of God’s creation. We have been endowed with the abilities to sense, feel, think and be the Divine in action.
We are allowed to make our own choice as to whether or not we share the universal energy of Divine love.

A GREATER PERSPECTIVE
You are correct to believe that there is no way out of this physical experience of the life that you currently have. You are also correct that there are things beyond your ability to perceive and experience because you simply don’t sense the entire physical reality. We are tied to this physical plane by our agreement with each other that it exists.
We share common perceptions of this physical plane and either agree or disagree as to the depth and meanings of our perceptions. What’s truly important is not what we believe we experience but how we feel about how our experiences contribute to unfolding our Divine purposes in Divine order.
If we feel unfulfilled it’s an accurate indicator as to the fact that we are not aligned with Divine order. If we feel fulfilled we are aligned with Divine order and we perceive the bounty of the omniverse unfettered by erroneous beliefs. Our brains fill in the blanks in our perceptions in order for us to resolve our experiences into something that we can understand.
In essence, we create electro-chemical copies of reality in our brains that we perceive as reality. It is in how we feel that actually manifests our reality because we subsequently choose the thoughts that are necessary to move forward and allow the complete unfolding of our Divine purposes in Divine order.
Our interactions with others and our ongoing choices of Ego or Divine guidance create the ‘feelings’ that we use to truly know if we are living from selfishness or the spirit. Choosing Divine guidance is always the best way to proceed because it takes into account the ‘greater’ picture of the omniversal unfolding in Divine order.
The perceptions of our egos are extremely limited and are focused on self-survival only. It is a viewpoint from the valley and NOT a viewpoint from the mountaintop. When you spend your life operating from a greater perspective, you are more likely to experience the feelings of Divine alignment instead of ongoing ego frustration.

NEED TO BEAR ARMS
What do you do when someone insists that they need to bear arms? Do you treat them with disdain? Do you give them a half-hearted smile and politely get away from them as quickly as possible? Or do you just love them?
Yes, love thy armed neighbor and help them grow up into the realization that they don't need weapons of death to protect something that they 'believe' they have to. Yes, love them as they live in fear and have the power to kill you or your children with a whim of their aberrant ego. Yes, love them enough for them to become a responsible adult and trust in the Divine. Love them and minimize your contact with them.
Why? Because their fears will create scenarios in which you might be entangled because of their fears. Love them from a distance and keep your space pure in the trust of the Divine. Some people will never learn how to trust that which they will never understand because their entire lives are built on fear.

SEEDS OF ONENESS
Are you sowing the seeds of the Oneness of life? Or are you sowing the seeds of separation by mandating your erroneous beliefs and not facts upon the rest of us? As we all grow in the experience of being human we come to know the varied aberrances and conformities of our behaviors upon the human experience as a whole. At each moment we have an opportunity to choose life or death.
Do we support what ADDS to life or do we support what TAKES AWAY from life? No matter how fearful people ‘spin’ reality the truth is obvious to those who dwell in and live from the spirit. Nature reveals its hierarchy for a purpose. It teaches us that NOTHING is separate. Everything that exists is inextricably tied to each other.
We live in the ‘soup’ of energy, matter, dark energy and dark matter that moves in eddys and currents of expression reflecting the projection of spirit. Spirit creates by expanding Divine love upon the stage of the omniverse. It is up to us to see and feel this truth or blind ourselves to its reality.

Are your expectations of life based on reality? Are they based on you doing something so that you can get something in return? Or are they based on the laws of the omniverse that say that if you do something a certain way that ‘this’ will be the result? There are realistic expectations that are based on the repeated observations and conclusions of reality.
If you drop a ball from your hands it will move toward the floor because of the construct of reality known as the Law of Gravity. You observe the ball ‘falling’ and hitting the floor and you conclude that the Law of Gravity has again worked. As a result, you come to ‘expect’ it to work time and time again. In reality, your expectation is based on the Law of Allowance. You know that when you challenge the Law of Gravity, it usually wins. You allow it to be and then you come to know its rules and expressions.
But what if your eyes were shut and your ears were covered? You would drop the ball and would not receive sensory validation that it hit the floor. How would you know that, in fact, it hit the floor? You wouldn’t. You would assume that it did because you have observed the law time and time again and you KNOW the results that it yields. However, what if someone caught the ball before it hit the floor? You would have expected it to hit the floor and would not have been able to validate that it did but you would know that it did because your brain would fill in the missing pieces. In reality, however, the pieces that your brain filled in failed to take into account the interference of another object because you didn’t ‘perceive’ that object interfering.
Observing the laws of the omniverse must at all times take into account the ‘unforeseen’ or ‘aberrant’ forces that exist outside of our perspectives. These are relegated to the field of reasonable expectations based on learned behavior. The problem comes in when people inject unreasonable expectations. Sharing Divine ‘unconditional’ love means that you give it without expecting it in return. The Greeks called this ‘agape’ which means being wide open to unconditional and non-expectant love. However, the term agape infers expectation that if you love unconditionally you are in fact ‘expecting’ a reward for issuing such love. What does this mean?
Expectation is the egoic function that parallels the spiritual function of allowance. When you live from your ego you know that if you think, feel, act and behave a certain way that you will ‘expect’ a reward for your expression of the fulfillment of what you desire. And what’s wrong with that? Nothing except that it focuses on your personal perceived power only and NOT the entire picture of what benefits others as well. When you transcend the illusion of your perceived personal power and enter the realm of your spiritual allowance of reality you come to know that if you express yourself accordingly, certain results will manifest because you ‘allow’ them to happen for the benefit of all.
Utilizing reasonable expectation teaches you that Divine allowance creates the unfolding of your Divine purpose in Divine order whereas living in unreasonable expectation is living from the demands and selfishness of your ego. Unreasonable expectation, in effect, is your ego elevating itself to Godhood and eventually displaying the characteristics of greed, avarice and capriciousness. Your growth and expansion is the process of moving from egoic expectation to spiritual allowance.
Don’t question how things unfold or put a damper on Divine guidance. Learn to allow yourself to be appreciative of everything that happens because in the unfolding of events, situations, occurrences, circumstances and the interaction of others we learn who in fact we truly are. Live in your own reality and the shared reality of others by living from the Divine love of allowance more than the egoic perceptions of expectation.
We are complex beings who exist in both worlds and we need to navigate effectively in each. Always balance both worlds but when you need to make significant advancements, always tilt the balance toward spiritual allowance over egoic expectations. When you lie to another person not only are you lying to them, you are lying to yourself as well. You are treating everyone with disrespect because you cannot deal with the truth. If the truth is so disruptive that you have to lie about it, then you have a severe character flaw when dealing with reality.
Reality is what it is and when you change it, color it or distort it you have made it into your own ‘version’ of reality in order to protect yourself from dealing with the truth. When your ego is so afraid of handling and living with the truth that you have to create an alternative reality to shine a good light on yourself you have a serious problem.
Accept others for whom and what they are and allow them to do the same to you. If they don’t like you because you are who you are then that is their right just as it is your right not to like who they are. Surround yourself with truthful and loving people who live in the truth and care about others.
Be yourself and when you encounter liars, speak the truth without fear. The truth not only sets you free, it sets them free to know the truth over their lies. Be ye therefore perfect! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

Some have recently linked our progress to the correct breeding of leaders and the subsequent familial lineage of their descendants. YOUR BRAIN
Do you know that your brain combines your sensory inputs into a cohesive whole that when you remember certain events, situations, occurrences, circumstances and the behaviors of yourself and others, it recreates the elements of those observations? For example, have you ever heard an old favorite song and began to smell the fragrances you experienced when that song had heightened your emotions? Or, does your flesh tingle when you see similar experiences that you have endured at one time in your life?
The reason this happens is that our brains ‘bundle’ our sensory inputs that trigger emotional responses into a cohesive whole. Our brains ‘fill in the blanks’ when we cannot make sense of our observations because they ‘anticipate’ future experiences that might threaten our self-survival. Our brains create electro-chemical ‘copies’ or ‘snapshots’ of reality based on where we focus our attention. This is then filed into our subconscious minds and subsequent ‘feelings’ are attached as to whether they are beneficial to us or not. This is the automatic ‘fight or flight’ response to the experiences we have in our environment. It is in the realm of the ego, which is a conceptual construct of the observed processes of the human condition.
How we react to our environment is how we ‘believe’ it affects us. If we emote certain feelings in reaction to our experiences and have those same feelings repeatedly, they ‘construct’ deep seated emotional beliefs that are no more than repeated thoughts and attached feelings. Just because something is repeated in experience does not necessarily mean that it is true. How many times do you have to grab the frying pan handle and get burned before you realize you shouldn’t do that? Once, twice, thrice? Once that program is accepted in subconscious mind you react with the appropriate response automatically without having to think about what you are going to do.
But what about experiences that you live a few times and conclude that they are not good for you and in reality are, but because you have discounted them as not being fruitful, you avoid them the rest of your life? Their validity is real but NOT to you. Your individual relative truth discounts their benefits because you have concluded that they are of no value to you. These are called erroneous beliefs; beliefs that are concluded in your subconscious mind as NOT being valid to your self-survival. Truth is one thing, validity is another.
Validity requires replication of something that is true time and time again. According to logic you can test the validity of something based on a syllogism. A syllogism is an argument in which the conclusion is supported by its premises. A premise is a proposition or statement made in order to draw a conclusion. In its simplest form deductive logic allows two general premises to deduce a specific conclusion.
For example, in one of Sherlock Holmes’ cases he knew a lady was recently present in the room because there was a burning cigarette with lipstick on it when he arrived. Knowing that the cigarette burning indicated the recent presence of someone and that the lipstick indicated a woman, he deduced that she wasn’t far away.
Following is a deductive logic syllogism:
Premise #1: The sun is shining.
Premise # 2: It is warm.
Conclusion: It is warm because the sun is shining.
First, you observe the sun is shining. When you exit the shade you feel warmer. You re-enter the shade and you feel cooler. The obvious conclusion is that you feel warmer when you step into the sunlight. Therefore it is warm because the sun is shining. Is this true? Yes, based on your observation. Is it valid? Yes; validity requires that it produces a desired result.
Each and every time you step out of the shade into the sunlight you get warmer. But this is this only half of your analysis. The second half requires you to test and re-test your conclusions to view their validity. You need to induce or establish results based on the facts. In its simplest form, inductive logic allows multiple specific premises to induce a general conclusion.
Following is an inductive logic syllogism:
Premise #1: Giraffe number 1 is silent.
Premise #2: Giraffe number 2 is silent.
Premise #3: Giraffe number 3 is silent.
Conclusion: All giraffes are silent.
Is this statement true? Yes. Is it valid? No! Why? Because you have only tested 3 giraffes! If there are 50,000 giraffes in the world and you only tested (sampled) 3 giraffes, your validity is weak at best. Now if you test 25,000 giraffes and they are all silent, then your conclusion is more valid than when you tested only 3 giraffes.
There are many truths in life but are they valid? Only when these truths are subject to repeated tests and experimentation and arrive at similar results, then one can truly claim that these truths are valid. Science uses logic to test the facts. If they can be repeated under the same experimental circumstances and yield similar results each and every time, then they are truly valid. Are your beliefs truthful AND valid? Or are they a version of the truth and not completely valid? Only YOU can determine this and NOT you.
The lower egoic ‘you’ determines how you process your experiences in your environment and how you should react in order to ensure your self-survival. The higher spiritual YOU determines how you should proceed in your environment in order to ‘grow and expand’ into fulfilling your Divine purpose in Divine order. It is always your choice to listen to either voice; the loud lower ego voice or the still small voice of the Divine. The best way to live is to ’balance’ the two voices and proceed in an ‘intelligent’ fashion which recognizes the value of both voices.
Our brains will always do what they are programmed to do. Our minds and hearts can change that programming when we allow our greater good to become manifest. It is up to us to be focused, diligent and grateful for the experience of living in Divine love. Recognition of this and the application of it is the key to fulfillment.
