DON'T YOU SMELL THAT SMELL?

Our sense of smell bypasses the thalamus in our brains and enters directly into our cortex. The thalamus is like a watch dog when we sleep and minimizes sensory input to our brains so we can maintain a restful sleep. Our olfactory glands relay the smells directly to our brains without passing through the watch dog thalamus. A smell imprints directly on our cognitive centers and we instantaneously react.

Why? Could it be that we are so conditioned from biological evolution that we instinctively ‘remember’ what we once needed to survive in our environments? Imagine that environment. If you had no backdoor to be instantaneously attaining consciousness, would you have been able to survive when a threat was imminent? And what about animals who ascertain whether or not another animal is presenting a threat to their survival? Is it because of a highly developed sense of smell or just an inner ‘instinct’?

Whatever it may be, our sense of smell allows us to navigate in our environments by direct access to our brains. We ‘react’ more with our sense of smell because of our pre-programmed self-survival response controlled by our egos. The same ego that operates in the realm of reward or punishment for one’s ‘behavior’; that you must ‘fight’ to ‘win’; that you must ‘overcome’ in order to understand; and that you must ‘control’ that which is, in reality, uncontrollable. Be in control by relinquishing your perception that you are.

SEEING WHAT YOU
WANT TO SEE

Our brains ‘see’ what they want to see. When conflicting information is presented that contradicts what our brains expect to happen, they will fill in the blanks with perceptions to fulfill what our brains ‘expect’ will happen, or even, what ‘should’ happen. Our brains only process a small fraction of what occurs around us. We share our observations with each other in order confirm and validate our assessments of what we have observed.

The entire omniverse is an illusion of polar extremities and ‘shades of grey’ in between. It is a ‘perceived dualistic reality (PDR)’ of the ‘mind’ that expects others to agree with our shared beliefs of what we perceive. We all have an amalgam of sensory input that varies in perception according to our individual brain chemistries.

We all ‘don’t’ often see the ‘same’ thing. We ‘feel’ our own perceptions about the perceived thing. If they conflict with others’ perceptions of a perceived ‘thing’, then we either remove ourselves from their sphere of perceived influence or we compromise with their viewpoint. Inevitably, we all see what we ‘want’ to see to be fulfilled within; no matter whether it is truthful, valid or shared.

We ‘believe’ in our illusions of the external reality because it makes us ‘feel’ comfortable in our ‘perceptions’ of reality. It is a self-contained circle of perception that we ‘allow’ to rule our existence. It is only when we ‘allow’ that which has given us life to ‘move’ through us do we come to know that, in essence, we know nothing at all except our perceptions of what we have experienced and the beliefs that comfort us about our experiences.

When we develop the expression of our inner divinity is when we will experience the essence of Divine wisdom. Stop living your inner stories from being a victim to being a victor. Choose divinity over ego and you WILL experience inner wisdom. Be ye therefore perfect!  ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

DISTORTING REALITY

When we distort reality to suit our perceptions of it, are we doing the responsible thing? Are we living in truth or just manipulating what is happening for us to feel good about ourselves? Is this change in attitude beneficial in the outer world or is it detrimental to others? As long as our perceptions of ‘reality’ create growth and expansion for all, then we are in alignment with that which ‘promotes’ life in general. It is when we ‘personalize’ our perceptions that we ‘steal the joy’ from others and their perceptions that they feel as being personal as well.

Universal truths are just that; universal! They apply to all; if they don’t, then they are NOT for the mutual growth and expansion of all. Validity will never be attained if universal maxims do not apply to all. As with our laws of society, they apply to all except when someone can afford to hire someone who twists and manipulates the law to their own end by creating a picture of honesty, plausible deniability or sequestration of the facts.

Maxims are universally applied but the results can be manipulated by egos who yearn ‘to get one over’ on another. That is sheer ego and has nothing to do with our perceptions of reality. Reality is a conflagration of perceptions that ‘appear’ to be truthful and valid. ANIMAL WELFARE

WISDOM NOT INVOLVED

To deny the wisdom of another reveals that wisdom was NOT involved in the decision to deny their wisdom; more like agenda manifestation.

When an obvious truth is denied because it doesn’t fit in with what one ‘believes’, it’s always advisable to temper one’s judgment with humility and not deny their individual wisdom.

Each one of us has arrived at our belief system through trial and error, acceptance and rejection and allowance and resistance. That which is repeatedly learned as truth to an individual determines its validity to the one who embraces that truth.

Know the difference between information, knowledge and wisdom. Allow what others see as the truth to be validated with results that are provable with experience before denying its validity. Be ye therefore perfect!  ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

QUITE OBVIOUS

The difference between the ego talking and the spirit talking is quite obvious.

If one believes that a sincere desire to help another is from the ego, then a re-examination of your relationship with spirit is in order.

JUST EGO TALKING

Someone on another thread stated “Just ego talking."Lead your dualistic self"? The dualistic self does not exist.”

Now, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when you look at reality it reflects duality everywhere!

I don’t know what reality he is seeing, but it sure isn’t what exists outside of us! When we obey the construct of the ego’s yearnings we are not following our innermost Divine desires.

BAT SHIT CRAZY?

“Sometimes, the first step towards forgiveness is realizing the other person is totally bat-shit crazy” ~Michelle Bartlett.

Is this judging or discerning? The statement is NOT judging, it IS discerning. Looking at things HOW they are reveals a discerning mind; looking at things in relation and comparison to your ego and how it feels it is better than someone else is judgment.

It is obvious when someone is bat-shit crazy for a discerning mind. Not so with a judging mind. Discern that which interferes with your peace and shunt it out into oblivion; judge that which threatens your survival and remove yourself from its apparent influence.

EVALUATIONS

'Evaluations' of the facts are dependent upon one's perspective. What someone doesn’t ‘see’ is what their brain does when it 'fills in the blanks' to resolve what it has observed.

Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable because people 'think' about and 'feel' what they have observed and their pre-programming determines exactly what they perceive in their minds.

FILLING IN THE BLANKS

Our brains fool us by filling in the blanks when we feel compelled to resolve what we have seen.

We must all be careful about what we observe and construe as factual.

NO WAGE TAX

If you grow corn by hiring workers where the corn is grown and pay them a living wage that SHOULDN'T be taxed!

Wages paid out to workers are part of the expenses and are written off by the corporations and are taxed AGAIN by the IRS as 'income' when it is NOT!

The corporate farm conglomerates make a huge profit off their labors, re-invest the money and ship jobs overseas.

INFORMATION OVERLOAD

In this age of information overload and ease of access to supposed facts, most people don’t make the time to go to the library to find out the historical facts and read the dissenting opinions based on historical facts.

When they actually spend the time to go to the library to investigate ‘the facts’ instead of blindly trusting the Internet, they are beginning to dismiss the realm of opinion and belief and enter the realm of knowing and intuiting.
