What truly happens when you are looking the other way? Is it as much as you dread might happen? Or at least is it just that the circumstances are painting a picture in which you recognize a pattern that yielded unfavorable results in the past? Are you basing your emotional reactions on too little evidence and too much conjecture? Do you then try to convince yourself that you need to ‘worry’ about perceived outcomes?
If you worry you are projecting the idea of unfavorable results into your environment and in turn are aggravating a perceived situation instead of improving it. You are ‘choosing’ an emotional reaction that is counter-productive to your growth and expansion into fulfilling your Divine purpose in Divine order. NO MATTER WHAT THINGS APPEAR TO BE YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE THEM!!! The ego is constantly trying to get the real YOU to yield to its perceived power over your self-survival. It NEEDS to justify its own existence and when it gets the real you to doubt, worry and then fear perceived outcomes, it gains an emotional foothold on your entire being.
Selfish desires, when allowed to take hold, block the flow of Divine love. When consistently choosing to be selfish, one, in effect, creates a perception of themselves as being separate from the Divine. When senseless doubt, worry and fear start to distract you from the fact that you are NEVER separate from the Divine, don’t blame yourself or beat yourself up for experiencing those feelings; just channel them into Divine love by focusing on what is the best for you and others. Take the focus off of just you and consider what your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, words, actions and behaviors might do to others.
Stop exaggerating the importance or significance of your perceived maladies, problems and circumstances. Things often appear to be moving in the wrong direction when in fact they are slowing down, pausing or going in a different direction that is needed for you to understand something that is necessary for you to unfold your Divine purpose in Divine order perfectly. When you allow this process to happen naturally instead of ‘worrying’ about its possible perceived outcomes, you are NOT participating in the creation of these possibilities and the emotional fuel that is necessary to make these possibilities into probabilities.
Don’t self-sabotage yourself by worrying about ANYTHING! The Divine has created you and will protect you when make the needs of others as important as your needs. When you hog the ‘goodies’ for yourself, you will pay the cost of experiencing things you might not want to experience simply because you CHOSE to be selfish. Choose to live your life to the fullest by making the concerns, desires and joy of all you encounter a priority. Then, and only then, will doubt, worry and fear lose its place in controlling your life. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

When you experience lack and limitation and accept your perceptions of them as always being true, you are caught up in a self-imposed snare of belief that will eventually strangle you. You tie the knot of the snare with belief and feel comfortable that you can use this knot to hang on to in ‘tough times’. You think you have a safety net and feel secure because your ego has done what it could to protect itself from harm. It has convinced you that you have made the necessary changes and adjustments for your own safety.
You might ‘feel’ that things have changed and your freedoms are being threatened by governmental or corporate forces when in fact it is NOT your freedoms but your liberties. Freedom is personal; liberty is collective. Nothing has changed except the perception of those who focus on lack and limitation instead of Divine abundance. Be selective in choosing leaders who focus on our collective liberties AND our personal freedoms. Those who preach the values of our Constitution are most often not even aware of their origination or practical implementation. They are defending something they don’t completely understand or can’t even spell correctly; yet they will try to convince others that we are losing our freedoms.
We are always free to believe what we choose but our liberty to practice what we believe is what some of these groups like the Tea Party are trying to hinder. ALL religions have individuals who have the freedom to believe what they choose and ALL religions have the liberty to practice their beliefs; yet some groups try to stifle their rights. Our rights are for EVERYONE who is a citizen of this country; if they aren’t, then they are NOT what we value but what we can use to gain an advantage over another.
If we truly value our rights we would defend them for everyone. Focus on the abundance of the Divine and not on the perceptions of lack and limitations that some groups try to preach. Trust in the Divine to allow us to grow and expand into a fair and just society where we value our rights and defend all to protect them. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
Trust is an inner knowing that the Divine will guide you and protect you from harm and fulfill your Divine purpose in Divine order. Is it blind or is it based on an assuredness of past behaviors and a reliance on sound principles and established creation? For example, did you know in the USA there are over 607,000 bridges and that over 70,000 of them are considered ‘structurally unsound’? [Source: CBS News] That’s approximately 11.5% of our bridges that could give out while you are traversing them.
Now, the ‘odds’ might be considered good for your safe travel, but what about those who ‘trust’ in those bridges to provide safety while they travel? Is their trust unfounded? Will Divine trust supersede the structural integrity of the bridge? Or will those who don’t trust and generate fear succumb to ‘accidents’ when they cross those bridges? Only the Divine knows the answers to those questions but there is one thing for sure; if we don’t maintain these bridges, then the inevitable will happen. It will cost several ‘billions’ of dollars to bring these bridges up to code.
What is Congress doing about it? Absolutely NOTHING!!! The expense of our infrastructure has been put on the back burner while $55 million was being spent on 37 votes to repeal ‘Obamacare’. Where are their priorities? Definitely not with us! If they were, we would not be facing this potential crisis right now. Many of us trust our local municipalities, state governments and federal government to be on top of this issue. But how can they when they are in constant gridlock over ideological issues?
When the ‘old’ will not relent to the ‘new’ we have the problems that we are facing now. Being aware of our environment and the maintenance of our structures for our collective safety is of paramount concern. Trusting in the Divine is depending on the Divine for help. However, we must always remember that God helps those who help themselves. We have been given the gift of life and the ability to grow and expand.
It is up to us to maintain our blessings while relying on Divine guidance and ‘protection’. It is also up to us to elect representatives that actively seek to protect us instead of padding their wallets with corporate ‘perks’ to influence our legislative agendas. It is up to us to trust in the Divine and to do what is necessary to influence our environment with progressive social, environmental and legislative change. Think about that the next time you cross a bridge. It ‘could’ be one of those 70,000 that is in desperate need of repair. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

My Source is not my job, money or the people and things that surround me. My Source is deep within me speaking in silence and moving in stillness. It is the birthplace of the well-spring of thought that bubbles up into my consciousness. My consciousness is the aggregate of biological energy know as my mind. It 'feels' the electro-chemical processes in my body and translates them into images and words that I understand. It projects my understandings of my life onto the omniversal stage of shared existence by the feelings and beliefs I have accepted as true and passionately pursue.
As I receive the reflections from my projections I come to realize that what I put out comes back to me to increase my understanding of what is. The balance and order of my experiences are a direct result of what I share and don't share. Do I choose to share nothing and hold back what I perceive as being good only for myself? Or do I share Divine love with everyone I encounter? Whatever I hold back holds me back. Whatever I treat selfishly, limits my perceptions of the bounty of the omniverse. Whatever I claim to be mine and mine alone is the rock under which I hide from reality.
My Source is within me and it supplies ALL of my needs, wants, desires and expectations when I allow it to be. I have been given the free will to go along with the grain of life or go against it. The lessons I learn from life are the guidance I receive when I understand that I am divinely loved. The Divine Infinite Creator Spirit of God is my Source and all existence comes from that Source. If I am a child of the Most High, then why would I choose to live in anything else but the blessings of the Divine?
It is my ego that chooses that and my job is to keep it in check so that it doesn't fool me into believing that it knows more than the Divine. Listen to the voice of divinity and not the voice of selfishness masking itself as the voice of reason. It only works if you 'believe' it is the truth without testing its validity. Listen to the silence and move toward the stillness. It is there that the absolute truth of life exists. Not in the yammering of the selfish ego. Be ye therefore perfect! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
Dean A. Banks of banksnet.com has been involved in the music/video industry for over 35 years. Dean began his music career on the East Coast by recording his first album in 1976 entitled “Money In The Bank”. In 1977 he moved to Los Angeles, CA. and joined the band Tony Newton & Gravity as their keyboardist. During his tenure in L.A., Dean performed, toured, or recorded with such notables as Iron Butterfly, Wild Cherry, The Coasters, The Platters, The Drifters, The Lorna Wright Band (Gary “Dream Weaver” Wright’s sister), Pat “Paraquat” Kelley (of legendary L.A. radio station KMET), Frankie Gaye (Marvin Gaye’s brother), and Slim & Trim, in which he appeared in the MGM Motion Pictures release “The Penitentiary”. After returning to Delaware in 1989, he functioned as keyboardist, manager, and producer for the SMI Music label’s recording artist Steve Miceli, whose CD “A Step Away” was released in 1992.
Dean’s management experience was derived from his work with Frank Zappa’s one time manager Bennett Glotzer, where he worked on the radio promotion staff. He learned a great deal about public relations from his work with Jo Ann Geffen’s firm. In the past he managed a former Motown great Antonio L. Newton (Tony Williams Lifetime, Smokey Robinson, G-Force (w/Gary Moore), and Thelma Houston). His past roster has included Miya Williams, Suzanne Oliver, Erin DeVore, Mary Archer, Steve Miceli, Dawn Platt of Tempting Fate, and co-management with Rick Dougherty of Hannon Tramp.
Dean’s production experience was gained as an engineering intern with Bill Ravencraft (Marvin Gaye, George Benson, Led Zeppelin) of Motown Studios and Marvin Gaye Studios, Hollywood, CA., and independent producer Ken Scott (The Beatles, David Bowie, Kansas). Dean has worked as a producer/engineer with Antonio L. Newton, The Light, Slim & Trim, Frankie Gaye, Hugh Ferguson (former guitarist/Graham Nash), Paraquat Kelly, Kim Fowley (The Runaways, Helen Reddy), Miya Williams, Suzanne Oliver, Erin DeVore, Mary Archer, Steve Miceli, and Dawn Platt of Tempting Fate.
Applying his studio experience, Dean has managed five studios in the past; Wilshire Fine Arts, Burbank Studio Center (which he also co-designed), Sierra-Pacific Studios, Muse Studios, and Ohm Studio. He has engineered with analog and digital equipment at the following L.A. studios: Kendun Recorders, RCA Studios, Cherokee Studios, Motown Studios, and Devonshire Recorders. He received his A.A. degree from L.A. Pierce College (Psychology/Computers) in 1984 and his D.D. degree (Theology) from UCS in 1985. After college Dean taught audio engineering technology for a year at the University of Sound Arts (USA) in Hollywood, CA. During Dean’s tenure at Muse Studios, he and Morris Wilson collaborated on the dynamic song “Feel The Wind In Your Sails”, receiving high acclaim when the song was played in the L.A. radio market. Branching out, Dean spoke on pursuing your dreams at a Mind, Body & Spirit Festival in San Diego, CA.
All in all, Dean has performed at a high caliber in the music industry. After relocating to Delaware in 1989, Dean formed a local music magazine called Music From the Ledge. During his tenure with the magazine as Editor-in-Chief, Dean interviewed such notables as Dio, Extreme, King’s X, and Kansas. In the early 90’s Dean was writing songs and soundtrack material for the United Kingdom based company, SMI Music.
During the late 90’s, Dean designed and built a full service audio/video complex called the MultiMedia Mall, a consortium of graphics, web design, and audio/video production. Applying his understanding of multimedia production, Dean started a parallel career path as a Webmaster at the turn of the century. In 2002 he received his certification as a Master Certified Internet Webmaster Designer (MCIWD). His training was specialized in e-Commerce design and implementation, part of his career path for present and future music marketing. In 2009 Dean created the Spirituality Guidance Internet TV Channel to provide access to current Spiritual leaders online. He released his third book, “Spiritual Growth: Articles Of Expectation” in 2011. Currently, Dean produces multimedia marketing and advertising campaigns, engineers audio and video productions and is the webmaster for his company, banksnet.com.
