Astrophysicist Stephen Hawking hypothesizes that the closer you get to the speed of light the more time slows down to prevent you from breaking the ‘light barrier’. He postulates that you can never travel at the speed of light. Einstein’s famous equation E=mc2 show the relationship between what we perceive as matter and what we perceive as energy. Energy is equal to the mass of an object of matter when the object is accelerated to the velocity of light squared. Now we can possibly create a warp bubble and move along the wavelengths of light while in that bubble and go faster than the speed of light.
We have yet to prove this, however it is theoretically possible. Why is this possible? Because the mind we have been blessed with desires to explore the heavens and we need to find a way to make that possible. Much the same we invent objects to meet our needs or manifest services that go beyond what is accepted as the ‘norm’. We are beings of Light (spirit) who reside in denser forms of energy (bodies) and use that contrast to co-create masterpieces in our ‘reality’. We interchange matter and energy every moment of our lives.
The secret to all of life is to master this exchange in such a manner as to create a fulfilling and successful life. Our values determine what we feel we need in order to live well. Do we value manifesting the blessings of spirit? Or do we value only what we need for our own survival. It is a choice we have to make each and every day. NO GUARANTEES
There ARE no guarantees in life but if we don’t expect to manifest our Divine purpose we will live life as it comes without any expectation.
Every day we venture into our environments because of a belief in an implied social contract and/or Divine trust.
If we approach life from a 'come what may attitude', then we will receive what we 'expect' to happen; just as if we expect the best to happen for all it will.
We deal with life ‘as it is’ because we DO have a choice. We deal with life ‘as it could be’ when we expect it to happen in Divine order. It's all in how we look at it. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
INSTINCT
When we are repeatedly confronted with the truth from many angles our instinctual reaction is to resist it.
Our ego won’t accept anything that contradicts its perceived control over itself and its environment.
Accepting the observations and beliefs of others is part of the process but what is ultimately more important is to allow the truth of the spirit to fill you with love bringing joy, peace and understanding.
Allowance amidst feelings of resistance brings transcendence from the control of the ego to the guidance of the spirit. Only we can choose which path to follow. Choose wisely, ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
SPOKES ON THE WHEEL
Just when you think it is over it is not. There are more spokes on the wheel that can get bent than you might realize.
Spokes can get bent and still carry the load even though they are more susceptible to break under pressure.
Let a little air out of the tires and the ride becomes a little smoother and more absorbent and the weakened spokes are less likely to break.
Compensate by making time to relax and enjoy the ride even though you might have to take it a little slower.

Is it better to just allow things to happen that you perceive you can do nothing about? Or is it better to wield your perceived personal power to ‘make’ things happen? Or is it the ability to practice ‘passive resistance’ or ‘active allowance’ effectively? You decide! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
Everything that we sense is continuously in a dynamic state of motion. Yet we tend to want things to remain in a static state of ‘the way it is’. We become comfortable with events, occurrences, situations, circumstances and people when we feel we benefit from them and uncomfortable when they don’t. Our concepts tend to remain static while our experience unfolds in a dynamic expression of polarity in the perceived dualistic reality.
We observe, analyze and evaluate expressions in our environment as to whether or not they affect our survival instead of dismissing erroneous beliefs and trusting completely in the Divine to allow us to thrive. We enter this dance with hopes, dreams and wishes only to have them crushed in the cold hard reality of truth when we rely on the beliefs and constructs of others.
Our Divine purpose can only be manifested in Divine order when we discharge erroneous beliefs and completely trust In the Divine. It is NOT an impersonal relationship with some ‘energy’ or ‘spirit being’ that we ‘believe’ is there. The Divine is a living, vibrant and dynamic Creator that has bestowed the gifts of grace, free will and agape on us. The Divine has given us everything for us to co-create a life that reflects the seeds of greatness that were planted in our hearts from the beginning of our lives.
It is up to us to operate from those gifts and act out the manifestation of those gifts in our lives. No one can do it for us. Then why do we believe what others believe without questioning their motives or being true to ourselves? We accept complacency, mediocrity and what others say as ‘the way it is’ because it is more convenient for us than doing the work to ferret out the truth.
Instead of dancing through life focused on what we can get from others we need to move graciously through life serving others with our talents, skills and abilities in order to help them become whom and what they were created to be. We are all in this together and until we serve each other with Divine love we will never be completely fulfilled.
Being true to ourselves means the discharging of erroneous beliefs of others that we have accepted as true and coming to a complete understanding that trusting completely in the Divine is truly expressing love to our Creator. Anything else is a selfish acceptance of the illusion of the dance as being what is truly real. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
ACTIVE ALLOWANCE
Have you ever heard of ‘passive resistance’? It is the ability to achieve social results through actions that are non-violent. It was the process by which Gandhi effected many social changes. I propose a new system inspired by this theme to be known as ‘active allowance’. But isn’t allowance simply stepping back and not doing anything? Hardly!
Allowance involves an active choice to NOT resist the things we feel are happening that are beyond our perceived control. It means that we understand what we observe in our environments and we choose to make positive steps toward the realization of manifesting our Divine purpose in Divine order.
In effect, out first step is to ‘decide’ to make a change in order to yield our desired results. In Latin, decide comes from the word ‘decisio’, which means to cut off ANY other possibility and remain focused on what you have decided upon. It means to choose ‘what’ you want but not ‘how’ you get it!
The second step is to ‘ask’ the Divine to provide the necessary guidance to unfold your Divine purpose in Divine order. We do this by ‘praying’ with positive thoughts and visualizing positive outcomes without worrying about ‘how’ it will happen. It means seizing the ‘good’ things that we experience and know and filling in the blanks with the positive things we ‘expect’ to happen.
The third step is to ‘seek’ out the answers to manifesting our Divine purpose in Divine order by understanding ‘why’ we are even asking the question. (Continued in next column)

Purpose becomes clearer when we understand why we are seeking a desired result. Understanding why we move towards positive results and why we move away from negative results is paramount in driving us to accomplishing our Divine purpose in Divine order. We do this by making the time every day to commune with the Divine in uninterrupted meditation. It is in this state that we release the stresses of the chaotic external world and become centered in the internal peaceful world. It is here where we ‘listen’ to the still small voice of the Divine guiding and directing us to what we need to do to unfold our Divine purpose in Divine order.
The fourth step is to take what we have learned from the Divine and put it to effective use by serving our family, friends and neighbors in our community with our talents, skills and abilities that we have been blessed with in order to express the love from the Divine. This is where the ‘rubber meets the road’ and we ‘hit the ground running’. It is where we move the ‘talk’ to the ‘walk’.
The final step that we need to accomplish in actively allowing the grace of the Divine to unfold our Divine purpose in Divine order is to ‘follow up’ on our progress and the progress of others by using our free will to ‘be there’ for them by sharing Divine love. This could be accomplished in many ways including ongoing prayers, communications that show your concern or just showing up to help them feel that they are loved and appreciated.
These steps are truly practicing ‘active allowance’. Nothing will ever just passively ‘drop into your lap’ from the omniverse without an express purpose of manifestation. It has been brought to your attention for a reason. Embrace the gifts that you have been given and actively allow them to manifest through observing and deciding, asking and praying, listening and meditating, acting from love and being of service and following through by extending yourself into helping others.
Be the solution to positive growth and expansion and move from being a part of the problem by simply being a passive participant in the perception of ‘the way it is’. Get out of your comfort zone and participate in life by bringing the love of God out of your closet and into the world! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
