Evil manifests itself in many ways. It deceives us by giving us partial truths that seem plausible. It weaves stories that make sense. It comforts us with a feeling that we are doing the right thing. It assures us that we are on the right path. It is our choice to listen to these illusions of distraction as real or go within and KNOW what is real. The Divine is NOT corporeal and confined by any concept we can imagine.
The Infinite Spirit of God is beyond anything we could ever imagine. Yet we try to convince ourselves and others that we are in the image of God. An image is a representation of something that reflects the attributes of that something. It is NOT that something but it contains that something. The Spirit of God IS within each and every one of us. It is the source of our very life. It is completely giving and loving ALWAYS.
There is no punishment for evil or reward for good. The only thing that truly exists is the grace of the Divine. The gifts of free will, co-creation and love are to be experienced and used by us to re-create peace, joy and understanding. Anything else is a distraction from our collective purpose which is to LOVE ONE ANOTHER. See this truth, breathe it in and breathe it out. Embrace the beauty of the Divine and live in the grace of God every day of your life. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
FREEDOM OF RELIGION
Everyone who has religion is included the constitutional tenet ‘Freedom of Religion’. We should respect other systems of belief but not be caught up in their web of deceit. However, having had personal experience with the inner workings of the Mormons and their take on reality, I completely reject their entire belief system as delusional and contrived. When we tell the truth and not invent stories of our origins, we are being responsible to ourselves and others.
Joseph Smith was a liar and a charlatan whose ego was bigger than his faith. When a charlatan invents his own history and teaches it as the truth, we should all object to that reality because it comes from someone’s ego and NOT from God. Joseph Smith was a man; a man who made conscious choices to deceive people with his delusions and ‘visions’. He took what God had given him and used it to his advantage without considering ultimately what it would do to others.
His egotistic agenda was more important than the true love of God. Like L. Ron Hubbard of Scientology, delusions of a divided reality became more real than Oneness with the Divine. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
ANGIE'S LIST
Apple just reached the height of 25 billion downloads. When music downloads began it took an innovator like Steve Jobs to have the vision to see where we were going and how he could provide a service to meet that need. Another success story of vision is Angie’s List. Angie Hicks was inspired to find a reliable contractor on behalf of her future partner. The ‘List’ started off as a publication of reviews and ‘call-in’ service. Angie went door-to-door collecting ratings and signing up members. Her diligence paid off and the rest is history.
What was the alternative? Craig’s List? That’s like going to a sewer to take a bath. Con-artists, scammers and flakes proliferate that list while Angie raised the bar. She made word-of-mouth reviews from reputable customers a benchmark to market the services of exceptional companies. Her success is the result of a great idea, doing the legwork to develop the idea and following through with the necessary financing and marketing to make the idea grow and expand. Much is the same with your life. We all get ideas day in and day out. Do we do anything with them? Or do we simply say “That’s too much work!”
The Divine blesses us with ideas that are in line with our talents and abilities. It is up to us to do the legwork and seek out those who can help us realize the idea. If it’s a good idea we will have successes and roadblocks abound in our path to realization. These occurrences are there to fine-tune our idea into something that truly has value. There is a process to honing an idea to its core value, much like removing the skin from a piece of fruit to get to the ‘good stuff’.
The process is like this so we can understand the conditions and occurrences that are necessary to get to the final product or service. Even then, feedback from those using the product or service helps us to further refine its marketing, distribution and customer service and retention. We are repeatedly blessed with ideas to maintain our lives and help others. Only when we trust in the Divine to supply positive results when we act on these ideas, do we willingly make the steps necessary to bring these ideas to fruition. Happiness in your ongoing process of growth and expansion. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.

Choice is an illusion created between those with power and those without. ~ Merovingian (The Matrix Reloaded)
Good and evil are constructs of division in which the ego has dominion. In truth, we are not separate from the Divine. Only in our perceptions of reality do we categorize and believe in good and evil. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
When ego comes between God and humankind it will ultimately lose the meaningful and heartfelt connection and communion with the Divine. It does this to allow itself to survive at all costs. Like Christ said, those who pray in public already have their reward. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
When you have faith only in the truth, fear melts away. Breathe in the truth and feel the presence of God. Breathe out the truth and witness the presence of God in action! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
Just as prejudice, fear and chaos is learned, so is openness, faith and peace. Teach everyone to be open, have faith in their abilities and to seek peace and harmony through love above everything else. This is how we create the Kingdom of Heaven here and now. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
Never allow someone to convince you of their beliefs while allowing your understanding of the truth to be compromised by those beliefs. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
Be who you are; no matter what.
Be the person you were created to be; no matter what.
Be the best friend you’ve ever had; no matter what.
Be the Infinite Spirit within you right now; no matter what.
No matter what others say, how you feel or what happens be true to yourself. If you cannot be honest with yourself how can you be honest with others? Loving God means loving others. Be loving; no matter what! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
To truly be a ‘no-limit’ person you must consistently tap into the source where there are no limits at all. Anything else is living in a limited perspective. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
Tenacity is the soul of survival.
Vision is the soul of thriving.
Consistency is the soul of maintaining.
Loving is the soul of Oneness.

We hear this term many times, but what does it actually mean? Authority is the power to determine a course of action through a shared perceived sense of proper judgment. Observers accept authority figures as a reliable source of information, advice and guidance to determine their own course of action. Anything on a screen, whether a computer or television is an electronic representation of authority. When our intellectual guard is down and our emotional reaction is up figures that appear on the ‘screen’ have a subconscious perception of being those with ‘authority’.
During college I decided to take a class in Symbolic Logic. The professor told our class that we would be using a part of our brain that we had never used before; and that it would hurt. He was right. He stated that most people don’t think; they emotionally react. Again, he was correct. Over the course of the class I struggled with critical thinking until I embraced it completely. I desired to be an accurate observer and not be emotionally swayed by those with ‘charisma’. It wasn’t easy deprogramming myself from the accepted wisdom of my family. After all, when I was 18 I voted for Nixon. Big mistake. Later, I went to seminary school to learn more about my beliefs and the beliefs of others.
Being fascinated with Deductive Logic, I decided to investigate Inductive Logic. The professor who taught this class was a Ph.D. whose knowledge was incredible. Our final assignment for the class was to view the pep rally at the college football stadium where President Reagan was giving a campaign speech. The professor obtained an advanced copy of the speech and we were to break down the language by the principles of Inductive Logic and compare ‘how’ the speech was delivered at the pep rally to determine exactly what President Reagan said. Statements from him like, “What a great land, this country of ours!” drew massive cheers and arm jabbing.
However, to my surprise, my analysis revealed he had said NOTHING! He was emotionally riling up people to ‘react’ to what he was saying instead of challenging what he was saying, He was a master communicator and knew which buttons to push on the average ‘reactive’ person. Another lady and myself were the only ones in the class to get A’s on this assignment. When I turned in the assignment I wasn’t sure that my analysis was accurate but soon learned that it was.
Years later, I watched a TV program with Rush Limbaugh and saw the same style of rhetoric against Bill Clinton. I tuned in every night and had a good laugh because he was actually FUNNY. After his TV show died a miserable death, he ventured back off again into radio. As the years went by he became more and more abrasive. He had mastered his baritone voice, the cadence of his word delivery and the descriptive terms that were just slightly above the understanding of his audience.
Most magazines and successful talk show hosts target their words and speech to a 7th grade reading level because that’s where the average mass audiences’ level of comprehension exists. Rush is a master at appealing to a non-discerning audience who don’t, and won’t, investigate what he says. He is an authority figure because his voice is heard in mechanic shops, offices and homes every day. He is hammered into your head as the ‘voice of reason’ when in fact he is the ‘voice of repetition’. He AND his advertisers know this and use it to sell products and services. If you advertise with Rush, advertisers know there will be millions listening. They know that while he lulls you into a state of acceptance because of his image of authority they can plant an association of the usefulness of their product or service deep in your subconscious.
When you go to the store or shop on the Internet you are automatically drawn to that product or service and you don’t even know why. Rush has been consistent over the years and advertisers loved him. Every day he brought attention to their products and services with sensationalism and authority until he went over the line. He insulted a woman who WASN’T a public figure. Not only has he opened himself up for a slander and defamation of character lawsuit, he has now drawn attention to the fact of his own MAJOR character defects.
His ‘brand’ is now tainted and the backlash is enormous. He has attacked a single college woman who has a right to a private life, even though she testified before Congress about her personal situation. He called her a ‘slut’ because of what he ‘thought’ was her lifestyle. He placed himself as her judge, jury and executioner. He revealed his flaws and condescension because he allowed his anger to control his delivery (Cont. next column)

"I HATE That About Him/Her!" OOPS! Best look At What Is Being Triggered in You & WHY?"
by Angels Whisper
Just like Pat Robertson, the older he gets, the more he lets things ‘slip’ without thinking them through. Rush gave a half-hearted apology that the woman didn’t accept because she knew it wasn’t sincere. She used her discerning mind to pinpoint the maneuver he was trying to pull. Why do you think Rick Santorum made the comment about people attending college? Is it because he doesn’t want them to have a discerning mind by learning critical thinking?
His comment was aimed at a non-educated base to move them emotionally. Rick Santorum has a B.A., M.B.A. and a J.D. He went to school for many years and learned how to manipulate people by what he says and HOW he says it. He is another master communicator of partial facts designed to motivate people on an emotional level.
In all fairness, so is Obama. He knows how to motivate people as well. The difference is that he spent years educating himself and helping his community realize the goals they sought. In order to develop a discerning mind we need to learn how NOT to emotionally react to what people say. We need to analyze what they say based on the merits and not the technicalities.
Don’t be swayed by those who are in positions of authority. They don’t live your life or walk your path. Use your mind to sift through the facts and allow your heart to feel whether or not they are telling the truth. Talk to others and understand their feelings but always come to your own conclusions based on the facts and NOT someone else’s opinion.
Your survival and ability to thrive will depend on it. Not only yours, but every else’s as well. Choose wisely and make the guidance of the Spirit of God your true authority! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
WHAT IS AUTHORITY?
What is authority? Is it based on what is true and correct” Or is it just an accepted impression of someone you believe knows what they are talking about? What can you do to know whether or not you should listen to what an authority figure says?
When you paint yourself into a corner look up and see the beauty all around. Your perspective is a result of every brush stroke, paint daub and color choice. Now that you are there the only thing you have to do is wait for the paint to dry before you take steps to admire what you have created from a different perspective.
Patience and timing are the last steps in creating a masterpiece! ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
